On a positive note though - I have just signed up for the Edinburgh Moonwalk www.walkthewalk.org which should not only be fun but will hopefully help with the weight loss (the thought of parading round town in a bra at the moment scares me!)
Anyone else doing this or have any handy hints?!
I'm not doing it but looking at the site I'd say a large - possibly decorated bra would be the best way to go! Looks like a lot of fun.0 -
Eeek! just popped on the scales this morning and either AF bloating is getting worse or Ive piled on on extra pound and a bit over the weekend. I suspect the latter, I think the fact that I had to go buy new belts and treated my self to a pair of combat trousers on saturday made me a tad cocky. Right I'm gonna behave myself till the 11th (birthday) now and shift those sticky pounds so I hit the elusive 13st mark, just hope the weekend away doesn't cause an issue. I have till the end of April before I start treatment and want to be as healthy as poss, wonder if its possible to shift a stone between now and then...hmmm.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Morning all , well I woke full of good intentions this morning, was going to have spec k for brekkie but somehow I ended up having 2 slices of toast with butter and jam! argghh ah well lunch is a left over portion of lasagne and salad, tea is pork, vegs & potato so just got to stick to them now!
Doing 50 mins exercise with my mum this afternoon to a RC dvd then going to RC class tonight to do an extra exercise session there. Hopefully I will see a shift in weight (pref downwards!!) on Wed morning weighin.
Have a good day one and all xFollowing :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
Hi all hope everyone is well,
Okay last night was the end of my first week and I have a
2lb loss
I am pleasantly surprised by this because although I have been exercising loads I haven't been anywhere near as good as I should be eating wise.
I have 3lb to lose to be out of the obese categoryso I am aiming to lose that within the next 2 weeks.
Just wondering if there is a different thread for the 5lb monthly challenge as thinking of joining that, every incentive helps.0 -

Hi
not sure if right place, but I have decided today to get us all fit and healthy in the houe, but my kids are fussy eaters.
Son hates salad, but loves meat veg
Daughter likes chicken but not keen on any other meats and loves salad
I will eat anything to make life easier
any ideas for pack lunches/healthy and dinners - to prepare in advance as I work full time
If I do baked potatoes son refuses to eat and if he gives in just loads with butter - he is almost 15 and does nothing with himself other than play on his xbox.......
I suspect they are both eating sweets without my knowledge - should I stop pocket money
what is the right approach.
dont want to post their weights, but just to say they are very overweight and I am at a loss how to tackle it whilst not making their lives a misery?

annie - great to have you back. You havea lot to handle so don't berate yourself : this is real life - there is never going to be a straight forward weight loss path. The secret is getting back on the wagon: you've done very well to loose 1lb
pet corner - ditto as above with double hugs: I think looking after yourself sometimes means not stressing about weightloss when there are other overwhelming demands on you. Keep posting if you can so you feel we're heer to help when ever.
Kazz - this is the 5lb challenge -the cart gets posted every wednesday (alledgedly eh raph;) :rotfl: )We are now at the start of a new month: see post 1 for full details
Hannah - if I was facing special k for breakfast I'd resort to toast & buter too:D . Perhaps you ned to scrap the spK idea and plan something more satisfying and filling, otherwise this might happen a lot. How about poached or scrambled egs on toast (no butter?)
Loads more to reply to but truely out off time - we're off for a walk in the country side with picnic as I'mon leave this week and the sun is shining.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
thanks brighton belle, usually I have the spec k no probs but this morning as I did ds some toast it was just calling my name!! but I think I will try the egg on toast (with a little bit of HP sauce) when I get my shopping in later in the week. thanks again and hope you have a lovely afternoon and picnic.Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0
