Not sounding wacky at all - how you actually feel is the most important thing. Last time i lost weight i reached a point when i felt and looked great, but when i went to the nurse for a check up she wouldn't believe i was as heavy as i said. She believed me when i got on the scales and said that I was technically overweight but it didn't matter.
Hope that makes sense0 -
Hiya hope you don't mind if I join in...
I started going to RC classes in Oct 2007 weighing 16stone 9lb as I wanted to lose some weight whilst trying to conceive my 2nd child (ds2 is now 7 months old so it worked!!) anyways I kept going to class every week and have continued to exercise and have managed to lose just over 3 stone but I am struggling now so looking for a bit of support and motivation.Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
Hello Hannah :hello:
I did RC, but I did it from books and magazines - never braved the classes.
I think it is a great system/method and works well when you also have a family to feed.
Hope we will be able to provide you with some support and motivation.

Hi all,
Hope you don't mind me joining in. I started dieting a week ago and my frist weigh in is due on Monday morning. Fingers crossed.
What a great thread for support and motivation this is. Good luck to everyone else for this week xxx"If you hear a voice within you say "you cannot paint," then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced". ~Van Gogh~0 -
Hi guys!
Think I might join you all. I am not particularly overweight but I do have this thing for sitting around and night eating rubbish. It's got to the point now where I get (sugar?) headaches if I don't do it.
I don't exercise really but I do walk about 2 miles a day at the weekend. I have been lucky for a long time not to gain weight with my nightly eating, but all of a sudden it has caught up with me!:o
Anyway I'd really like some help and support to stick with it, especially at night time!0 -
Welcome Holly, Kay and Hannah everyone on here is very supportive and friendly and will try to help you achieve your aim in any way they can.
And speaking of aims after my panic mid week I am pleased to report a 2.5lb loss. So close to starting to lose the final stone. Shorter term aim is to lose 9lbs by mid April so I've dropped into the next stone by the time I visit my mum in mid April - she hasn't seen me since I've lost weight. I hope to be at target five weeks later for a friend's wedding, where I'll meet up with more people who haven't seen me since i started losing weight.0 -
Good morning Holly and Kay and welcome.
I managed to gain 3 stone by 'nightly snacking' in front of the tv, I have now lost it and have maintained for over a year now - so it is possible - go for it.
Not necessarily a recommendation, but whilst losing weight I did not do any additional exercise - it is only since reaching my target weight that I have become much more active. If I had exercised whilst losing the weight, I would no doubt have hit my target sooner.
Good luck and keep posting.
I've just received confirmation of my London to Brighton Bike Ride registration, so I am now off to beat yesterday's distance which was 9.2 miles.

Hi all
I'm doing the half stone monthly challenges and lost 2lb in feb but definatel feeling more toned and better!
You guys seem to be doing well on here as well so I'll pop in every now and then for fresh news!
Mambury - i'm usng my wii fit a lot more - have had it since last year but only really beenusing it more in february! My age was about 60 when i first started (im 34) and now i'm 37 i think so it does work even if you do a little bit every day. There is a wii fit thread on the forum where you can see how other people use it - its nice to know what other people are doing on it too!
Godo luck with losing weight everyone x0 -

Morning everyone. Instead of the take away that OH normally asks for dinner last night was stew. For him that was loads of beef, veg, 3/4 of a dumpling mix and mash. For me it was a little beef, loads of veg and a bit of mash, and for the dog it was all of the above! Food today will be scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast/lunch (have only just got up) and left over mostly veg stew.
Did 2 hours of walking with the dog yesterday, which is more than I've been doing lately. The change of season is definitely welcome, so nice to enjoy a walk again rather than being freezing cold/wet and rushing it. Had a nice evening in with OH which meant I got no work done, but we both needed a nice chilled out time together so it was time well spent. Have a good day all.0
