  • Hi nmm - not going to shout at you - I think you should do some HHSS - look after yourself.

I did a gym session tonight and have burnt 300 calories :j - that's not many chocolates you know - about 6!!! Took about an hour in total with the hand weights and machines too.

I think I'll 'bank' the calories rather than munch extra treats - ready for tomorrow's weigh in.

    FFM :)

You said before the disc didn't work right have you tried it in your pc, they are sometimes better at playing stuff.

One very happy BB here. OH has just been offered the job he went for. It's six months and minimum wage but it's work and the nature of it will be good experience on his CV. This calls for a slap up ryvita and a herbal tea me thinks:D .

    Oh yes some good news yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

Brilliant news BB! :D I think that calls for not just a slap-up ryvita, but maybe two slap-up ryvitas with topping!!! Marion is right too about it being a foot in the door, I used to do lots of temp work in between travelling during my mis-spent youth, and I lost count of the number of permanent roles I was offered (didn't take any of them... always too busy planning my next trip...!)

I got bored of calorie counting yesterday and I've decided to allow myself a small break for the weekend. No restrictions, I'm going to treat the two days as a holiday ;) Pretty sure I won't do too much damage in two days (famous last words :p).

    Have a good weekend everyone!

I do that, work out how much food the exercise is 'equal' to :o My half marathon this week was 1233 calories, so if I'd had a takeaway that evening (I didn't :p) then that would be evens

Hi Everyone, I really, really need your help. For about twenty years now I have been approx. 2 stone overweight but my weight does not really ever fluctuate up or down. I have tried numerous diets, some with greater success than others but I never manage to sustain the loss for any length of time. I get very hungry when losing weight and this is genuine hunger. A few years ago I would pass out when losing weight even if I was being sensible. This had led to me being scared of getting over hungry. Recently I decided to try a high protein/low carb diet similar to Atkins to keep my hunger under control (which it did more successfully than a high carb plan. I followed it to the letter but only managed to gain two pounds. I have now had to abandon the diet totally due to the toilet situation. Friday morning I even managed to gain a haemorrhoid and lose some blood!!! Plus it is very costly to follow and I have a tight food budget. I joined this thread about a week ago but have not yet posted my weight or measurements. I used to be a SW group leader and I have joined/used many calorie counting websites. I am most definitely not a fussy eater but prefer non spicy type foods. I don’t believe I have any allergies/intolerances. I was wondering if anyone can give me any ideas on what to do next. I would be grateful for any constructive feedback.
    Thank you
    PJ
