I think I have made my OH out to sound awful but he really isn't! He's just set in his ways. Yes he could definitely do with eating a bit healthier, but with regard to junk and snacks he doesnt want me to join him in gorging, he just wants to be able to eat what he wants where he wants. He very much has the view that you should be able to lose weight by eating "normal" food, which is why he thinks we should be eating the same food in the evening. However the truth is that I dont lose weight by eating sausage + mash, spag bol, chops etc. Will have to start cooking more chicken and fish I think.
I will probably feel brighter about everything in the next few days, just on a bit of a downer with everything today. On the upside I've just got a popcorn maker and you get LOADS for 100 calories with minimal fat. A sprinkle of low sodium salt or sweetener and a yummy and very cheap snack!Am having a night off from uni work so popcorn and good tv here I come!
if that was my OH he would be cooking his own bloody dinner!
I ve just realised that I forgot to weigh in yesterday so put me down for a STS this week and I will try harder next.
I've just started training for a work at home job last night so I am a bit bleary eyed and manically busy for the next few weeks. I;ll try and post but I might be a bit sporadic........
I STILL haven;t been on the fit....I just can;t seem to find the time. But I will this week, I promise....
Hope you are all keeping well, hugs all round

Buttonmoons I hope the lump goes away all on its own with the antibiotics. Sounds as if going to the doc was the best thing to do - hugs and more hugs.0

... that's horrid so Vix you're so wrong - the power is the worst bit because with it comes responsibility.
Yea, thats what spiderman said. With great power comes great responsibility.
Im sure there are worse things you can tell someone, think of the joy of the other ones face. I think its down to fate too. Other one will get his or her chance another time0 -
Hair tiggle - matt just rans his hands through my hair.
Hand tiggle - matt tiggles my hand.

Hopefully it is just another harmless one, it's just having to get it removed again, MORE SCARS! Unless they open up the same cut as before?
It's annoying anyways, I seem to have one problem after another, I'm only 21 but my list of problems is like a 70year old womans lifetime ailments
Buttons I would imagine they would open up the same cut again. That was the case with my aunts breast cancer op (scar was less than a month old) and my hip which was 2 years after the original op so I think they generally only leave one scar. Also my scar was neater and thinner the second time, so as horrible as the idea of a second op is, scar wise I dont think you will be worse off.0 -
another morning spent in the warehouse! v cold in there and i refused a bacon sarnie! However weekend could be tricky - i'm stocktaking 6am to 6pm sunday, with bacon butties and sandwiches provided. it's that whole free food - naughty food balance again!0

Well done Bindiboo a good loss.
Buttons, I hope your lump goes with the antibiotics, but sounds like they'll use the same scar to remove it. ffm is it wrong that I actually really like watching those videos on Youtube? I am fascinated watching cyst removals & spider bites bursting! I did want to be a Dr. tho' as a kid, so possibly explains my morbid fascination.
Today I've not been working on the shed, although OH was. I was faffing around trying to compress movie files to send to my eldest son at school for coursework that's due in today. Despite compressing them the school email system wouldnt accept the emails with attachments. Very frustrating, so we ended up packing up at lunchtime, and drove back into town 10 miles away. I'm annoyed enough with DS1 because this was all due in after Xmas break, and he's put it off till the very last minute, and today is the deadline for the work to go to the moderator. I'd like to just leave it up to him to sort out, but then the teachers ring me to ask me to gee him up, but then I have another teacher telling me that he's old enough to organise himself! Grrrr!
We've hit a problem with the shed anyway, as lots of the screws have the heads rounded off, which means we can't unscrew them. I've bought a special tool to remove them, but it's not working! We're wracking our brains to think of any other way to remove them, apart from cutting them with a hacksaw! We'll be back there again tomorrow. It's bloomin' cold out there today though. Brrrr!
So, food so far:

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
hello all - thanks for all the support re OH's interview: we haven't heard anything yet.
dmv - I often give my OH extras that I don't put on my plate but we basically have the same meal a bit like kpc was suggesting. It's a case maybe of searching out heathier versions of comfort food without going the cottage cheese and lettuce route( )route. Using yoghurt of fromage frais instead of cream etc. When I make mac cheese, I don't use butter for the sauce and use half fat mature cheddar for example. I have baked potato & tuna, OH will have baked potato and baked beans. When you have a free moment(hahaha) jot down some ideas for meals you would enjoy and see how they can be adapted to suit him too and vice versa Gradually build up a list of 7-14 evening meals and lunches so gradually, all the thinking is done and you can just refer to your list rather than it being a last minute stress between you.
Of course it is hard on a students budget too. This definitely needs planning I think and won't be resoled in 5 mins, but it sounds like you've established some good communication about the issue now.
I've had to work hard to educate my OH that I should NOT be having the same portions size as him: he's an active 6ft bloke and I'm a sedantry 5ft 6' woman. Even now, if he is dishing up he feels 'mean' if he doesn't give me the same size helping as him.
kpc - well done on the weight loss:T . Don't envy you the bacon butty dilemma though...
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
