That birthday was a LOOOONNNGGGGG time ago Vix. I don't think you did miss it.
Have been away for two days with OH and 3 yr old granddaughter. I'm really really tired - she and I 'slept' in the same bed. How can a 3 yr old take up all the space in a large double bed?OH wisely had his own room.
My elbow was on the bedside table all night. I've had to eat chips AND chocolate to recover. (And I loved every minute of the two days!)0 -

Moonflower, Super Body is great, linz and i love it
and don't be fooled by this exercise malarky, i only started in january, before that i was a couch potato.
Completed Ultimate Bootcamp, the name was more scary than the actual workout, i don't have the Billy Bands so used weights instead. My arms, legs and abs ache and i got really sweaty so all in all it was a good workout that lasted 55 mins, going to have a rest night tomorrow :jCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Evening all. For those who remember me I was here in the thread last year (LW15-18) and just wanted to say hope you are all doing ok. Some familiar names still on the chart and some new names too - well done to you all particualarly Raphael who reached your goal - great! I am now 6 months pregnant, due to have another baby girl in July, and looking forward to getting back on the weight loss wagon (goodness knows I need to!) in the autumn. I am missing the 5k runs (in a funny sort of way). Hope you all remember me when I come back with another mountain to climb (figurativey)!0

great to hear from you efrieze: great news you are doing well. That will be lovely dd1 having a little sister.Looking forward to having you back when you are ready.
Beanie - how dd the hosp visit go?
Polka - impressed at downstairs mum prefering to pay you better - says a lot for her. It is marvellous that your ds has seemingly started eating throught he interaction with her little girl. I barely said a word until I was 4 - was known as 'mouse'; I had 2 confident older brothers. Anyway, when I was 4 , my chatterbox (girl) cousin came to stay for a few months while her mum was poorly and I never looked back... or as my brothers say, they haven't been able to shut me up since...
Things good here. Just demolished too much roast chicken but it was fabulous. Will get back to posted menu's tomorrow.
Plans for the weekend include pilates class tomorrow and sunday we are both helping out at a NTvenue open day: I get to sell the tea and cake which I find great fun and people so lve the cakes . And as I don't it is no temptation.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Was just thinking of going on a cake making course as a woman I was reading about makes £150 a week and the money would come in handy and I sure do not eat them so it will all be profit and enjoyment will google some courses:D0 -
Evening guys,
Just a quick pop in to say hello from Liverpool. I had a busy time before I left home, and then a nightmare journey up the A1/M62, where we got stuck in traffic jams twice.
We have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow too, and I'm helping my friend get organised for her daughter's 3rd birthday party.
Anyway, just a quick report in for food today:
B - porridge
L - banana, 2 x wholemeal bread, small bowl beef soup
D - small portion rice/korma & naan bread
I think that bearing in mind all the racing around, cleaning, tidying & lifting I did before we set off, I'll have balanced out the calories today. The kids ate chocolate & donuts all the way here in the car, and my friend & the kids have all eaten chocolate cakes, etc., and I haven't. Determined to stay as much on plan as possible. The food is being done by an outside caterer tomorrow, so no idea what's on the menu, apart from lasagne. I'll enjoy the party, but not go OTT. Back home Sunday.
Polkadot - glad you got everything resolved. I looked after my nephew for gratis, and there are eventual costs you can't factor in initially. I did grow to resent it in the end, because I was being taken for granted, and the end result was I stayed at home to care for my sister's children while she furthered her career, and I didn't, and without me she couldn't have, but now she has a career and I don't! Not all her fault, but it was a factor.
Beanie - how did you get on?
Vix - congrats on the move.
Victory - our Polkadot may be able to advise you on the cake decorating of course.
Right, I'm going to get off to my bed now. It's a bl00dy firm bed too - but I've brought my own pillow.
As they say here, t'ra!One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
I am desperate to lose this weight - I had sudden onset of rheumatoid arthritis from parvovirus infection two years ago and my physical activity dropped from being extremely active to couch potato. Got the arthritis symptoms under control with medication but the initial steroid treatment caused weight gain and I just can't seem to shift it. Need to get the weight off to relieve the pressure on my joints and to be able to mobilise better...I want to feel more energised and to feel better about myself.:o
My doctor advised me initially to go on a low carb diet but, as I'm not a big meat/eggs fan, I found it very difficult to stick to.
Doctor has now prescribed Xenical for me - with instructions to eat a very low fat diet.
Has anyone else been successful losing weight with this drug? Any tips would be appreciated0 -
No sun here either
I'm sure the forecast said after the torential downpour we'd have a nice day. I was planning on wearing one of the skirts that now fit me.
Welcome Steerpike I don't think anyone is using Xenical at the moment but I'm sure people can offer loads of advice about low fat diets. I'm doing WW so its a combination low fat low cal diet. From that I've learnt that it's the saturated fat content that is important but other than that I can't help.
Don't usually post my food for the day but I'm going to try mushroom burgers today as I've really been fancying burgers in baps but obviously beefburgers are totally out. Will report back on how they were later.
It's brightening up and can now see blue sky so p'raps the day is going to be fine.0
