BB - I love rock pooling! I caught a nice sized crab when i did it in hastings. I also fell over on a slippery rock! Painful times.

Missy: How do you get the motivation to do all of this? do you never find it boring?

My mum never wears underwear in bed, and neither do i (and neither does matt now) I get all of this from my mum, shes quite open and will wonder downstairs with no bra on. I think this is where i get it from!!

right i gotta rush off, gotta find stuff for tonight in town and buy a pressie before i start work at 2. ciao all

    Morning all!

Vix I find very few of my exercise sessions boring :D Some of the home gym ones are, but I only do those as a last resort. Motivation is never a problem when it's such an enjoyable hobby with endless possibilities, and it makes me feel great in so many ways :) Hope you have a good time tonight, good luck with shopping!

dmv how are you feeling today? Don't underestimate how good an exercise walking is - a brisk outdoor walk (especially rougher terrain) measures a fair bit higher on the heart rate effort scale for me than 'wii jogging'. Since you're already doing 2 hours walking per day, you might find the yoga & muscle exercises rather than aerobic ones on wii fit will help your toning efforts? Obviously it depends which you enjoy most though! Well done for hanging in there with the uni work - that's really impressive considering how unwell you've been feeling.

I've just got up and am feeling ok so far, need to so if I get the shakes again after I eat though. My dog walking is not particularly brisk, and its mostly on a perfectly flat park! I occassionally do beach walks and harder terrains but the park is 5 minutes away and its where all our dog walking friends are. Im suprised about your heart rate being higher on tough walks than wii jogging though, definitely interesting. I like some of the muscle exercises on there so always spend some time doing them, but the yoga ones ive tried ive found either boring or they have been uncomfortable for my sliced and diced (!) hips or back.

Am quite pleased with myself about uni work, need to have another good week though before I start celebrating! The weather is rubbish and is officially typical bank holiday weekend weather. Not a problem for us, but I hope anyone here who had plans has good enough weather to enjoy them. Right, off to get some cereal and wake up properly!

It's a bright and sunny day here, but I have to keep cleaning for Wednesday, not even sure where to start *cry* The living room is a bit of a mess but that's DD's toys so no point in putting them away until just before the people come on Wednesday as she will just haul them back out. Think I might attack my wardrobe, stuff is falling down and I'm sure OH has been storing stuff in there I told him to throw out months ago, he is REALLY bad for hoarding things, must get it from his father but HELLO there is no rationing now!

I've had 2 pieces of toast with wafer thin ham for breakfast, didn't really like the ham though, it was honey roasted or something and the smell reminded me of wet dog! Yummeh.

Oh and it's a STS for me, thank god, would of really went to town on my scales if they had said I'd gained.

Thing is, I used to always think my metabolism was slow, oh it runs in the family we are all fat blah blah, that was just excuses as there has been a few weeks (like last) where I've went WAY over my calories for the week, with things like - Burger King, lasagne with lots of garlic bread, Oooey goooey chocolate cake, dortios.....and I haven't gained! So I must not have a non existent metabolism, it must be pretty darn goooooood!

Of course having these munch-a-thons is just making getting to target weight take longer but at least I know that I can have a munch whenever and not gain 3lbs!

OH didn't get Friday or Monday off, his work has it written in his contract that they don't get bank holidays, the ********:p

    Hello

I'm reporting a 1.4kg gain today:eek:. I'm guessing though it's a combination of our visit over the weekend and the fact that my walking has been limited this week as a result of the foot. I guess its one of those "grin and bear it" situations. I've to go and pick up a freecycle package tommorow near our local park though so I was thinking of taking my insoles out of my shoes-maybe the extra space will help a bit.

Saw on facebook this morning that friend number 7 is pregnant, and I missed my temp again this morning:rolleyes: Having said that, all my other signs were right leading up to Friday and we did the baby dance a few times in the week;) then yesterday my temp was up.
Nmm and Buttons Well done on the STS's. Considering the week we've all had thats fab.

    Hello guys,

Buttons - I hope your step-nan is going to be OK, and like you've said, maybe this may be the time she decides to address her healthy/body issues. Only she can do it, despite all the will of others.

dmv - glad you are feeling OK today. Try to pace yourself, and you mentioning having the shakes, I wonder if you tried to keep to low sugar foods for the day, and get some complex carbs might help? I get the shakes if I've had anything that gives me a sugar high (that can come from refined carbs like white bread). It was just a thought anyway. Well done for keeping up with uni work, that's a real achievement.

Missy - here's hoping you don't have that gain, as predicted. Your exercise for the week is, as ever, admirable.

Well, the God of Dieting has well and truly paid me a visit! Despite having no easter eggs or chocolate, I did have some hot x buns, and some midget gems, and by golly has my stomach paid for it big time! I awoke at 6am with the most god awful tummy pains, thought I was going to be sick, then just had dreadful *ahem* gas, which was bubbling away (still is a bit)!:o I felt bl00dy awful, and it just proves even more to me that white bread is bad for me. That's a real shame, because it's one of my most favourite foods, but since I limited my intake from January, it's definitely boosted my energy levels, and I've consistently lost weight. Now I've been having it I feel lethargic, have a bit of a headache hanging around, etc. At least I'm learning!

nmm - I would have made the 5lb challenge only twice in 2 years. Once in my first month of losing weight (10lb off ) though I wasn't on the thread then, and once in my first month of maintaining  (6.25lb off). It definitely doesn't mean you're doomed!

dmv - I was also surprised by how well a walk compares against other exercise. In terms of heart rate measured effort over 30-60 mins, wii fit jogging came out at approx 48% of max for me (other wii activity less than this), a pavement walk approx 62% and a rough country walk 66%. Everyone's different and that's only my experience, but the day I compared those was the day the wii fit started gathering dust in my house... I'd much rather go for a walk :)

Well done on your STS nmm & Buttonmoons!

sary must be something going on here because I awoke at 5.30am to the most horrendous stomach cramps, managed to get to the loo and stayed there until 7am screaming woke OH and the little one up until I found imdium plus in the draw, took that and nothing since then apart from pains in the stomach and tiredness:rolleyes: but the kids were saying how much weight have you lost, what a diet that is etc so I got the scales out and we were all laughing because I have lost 2kg:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:good always comes out of bad, not a recommended way obviously but it is funny:rotfl:

There has been no sun here whatsoever for 2 day right dull and overcast.

Glad to here you feel better dmv

    missy your exercise is fantastic

    4pm - MEAL 5
    Protein Shake + 1 156mL of V8
    6pm - MEAL 6
Protein shake + 1/2 cup yogurt

    For gym I currently do
