Thanks folks, OH has apologised for blaming me and I told him that he was a douchebag.
Annie - I know how you feel, I did the Cambridge for 3/4 weeks, the 4th was lax because I was eating food in between, and I just couldn't get back into it. I missed food and I was also still cooking for the family, and OH kept taking home takeaways, sheer torture. I lost about a stone doing it, which wasn't bad, but unlike you I went on a super binge afterwards and munched my way through about 3weeks worth of bad foods and regained pretty much all of it.
Plus - All that water is BOOOOORRRRRIIIINNNG. They act like you have commited a crime if you have a diet coke - OMFG THATS GOT CITRIC ACID YOU WILL COME OUT OF KETOSIS AND DIE DIE DIE NOW!!!!
Bit OTT maybe, but it's how it seemed sometimes - You ate a slice of cucumber? DEAR LORD!
Plus it's never going to address your eating issues and have you noticed the amount of people that have restarted cambridge after getting to their goal weight? A hell of a lot. Doesn't seem worth it.0 -
Annie you're always welcome here
welcome back and congrats on the 2lb loss :T Any chance of getting back on the Wii Fit? thats if you stopped doing it in the first place.
Polkadot, i wish i could bake cakes i am so useless at them they are always either undercooked or like cardboard. I can make 2 cakes perfectly, Delia's Cherry Cake and Sultana Loaf Cake, but all others fail miserably
:hello: @ Victory imposter
I have been on it occasionally but not as often as I should be. I have set myself a challenge of going on it every day for the 2 weeks I am off. So 14 days from tomorrow. I will try and do a mixture of things for 1/2 hour minimum daily.0 -
Oh no Victory there's a link at the top of the front page saying if you've picked up problems after the switch on you can report it there-have you tried that?
Hello Annie it's good to see you again. 21lbs is so good-well done you:beer:
I dont think I would even have kept it up for a week-especially whilst cooking for everyone else!
NMM if you have a read of my blog you'll see I've not been long in the game. I haven't updated my blog in a while but will do tonight. There are clickys for a variety of subjects-cakes obviously has its own. The very first post I ever wrote was the story of how I started and how it grew. There's even a photo of the first cake I made.
Supper was a jacket potato, a piece of steak and a handful of nacho's with pasta sauce. Havent done any logging today so Im not sure what that relates to in cal's. Still, I feel satisfied-not stuffed. I'll be logging again this week-my life in logs nowadays, between food and temps:rotfl:thinking of that, my temerature dropped today from 36.6 to 36.5 and I can see a line on todays test. It's faint, but it is there. Hopefully I'll have a nice strong surge of LH tomorrow:D0 -
annie - you are always welcome here - I know you felt a bit traitorous, but honestly, I don't think anyne else saw it that way. Anyway - I'm delighted you lost 19lbs and that you gone stright back to SW rather than eating everything and anything:T and lost another 2lbs. It will be great hearing form you regularly again, an good luck with the wii'ing. Maybe the3 weeks will have gievn you the boost you needed to get a big loss under your belt.
whyhasthis - never 'eard of you:rotfl:.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hello again gang!
Well, I've only just tried to see if the site is working again. I've been so busy that I didn't even log onto the internet last night anyway. It was nice to have the haven of Yahoo groups though.
Polkadot - ouch! I've not broken anything before either, but just stubbing your toe is murder, so poor you.
Victory (whyhasthis) - I can't remember what everyone else has got up to, but I'm moving house & have got all my big furniture moved this w/end. I am now totally knackered - again! What have you been doing while you had no PC/MSE?
Buttons - it's funny how men seem to sleep so easily, then blame everyone else for it! Just be grateful that DD is fine, but you probably need to have a serious talk about the not sleeping while in charge of DD once the dust has settled. It is a very serious matter to not take your eyes of a young child, and could be perceived as neglect if something really dreadful had happened, which as an adult, he needs to take responsibility for. As I said, wait until you're talking again & the mood is calmer, as he won't hear what you have to say if he's in a defensive mood.
Annie - welcome back. We thought of you as included even doing the CD, but it's lovely to see you come back full-time. Congratulations on your brilliant loss. CD isn't something that can be easily done, and it does take a huge amount of will-power to do it.
Beanie - I think lots of us are in a similar position. Are you able to tackle any of the jobs that need doing yourself, or do you need help? Do you have a skill/service you could trade? Oooer, that sounds dodgy, doesn't it? he he. What I mean is that if you could bake like Polkadot, then you could offer to do a special cake for an afternoon's help from someone you know has the skills you need, etc.
So, I'm glad to say I didn't really miss MSE in the end. OH & I spent all yesterday dismantling furniture and loading up his van & moving it to his house. The remainder at mine now is all small bits to be boxed up and packed. The loft needs emptying of all the boxes up there, but it's looking more easily done in the next week or so now. We've switched the electricity off there now, so the bill has stopped at that house thank god!
Today I spent the day cleaning out and defrosting my big freezer from my old house, moving it into OH's house, jiggling appliances around, lifting tumble drier & other stuff. It's been a lot of heavy lifting and moving. I've also rejigged the outside brick shed, that's going to be mine, and moved a load of stuff out of there too. I have some charity stuff to deliver tomorrow, and am putting lots of toys & books to one side for my goddaughter to have in 2wks time when I see her.
Last night we had our anniversary meal out at the chinese, which was yummy. I ate just enough to feel satisfied, but not full. We had a doggy bag to bring back home, and have had that for tea tonight too - a medium portion. I found a pack of defrosting pastry in my freezer, so made an apple pie from it. I have had some with some custard, but could only manage half the bowlful and felt rather sick - too much food, too sweet, and I'm just not used to it.
I do feel I've had a lovely treat foodwise this weekend, and have not felt bad about it at all. It's TOTM, so it's satisfied any cravings there, and now for the next few weeks I can refocus and stick to plan again. It's nice to have a day off plan, but I'll be happy to get back on it too.
I hope you've all had a nice bit of sunshine wherever you were this weekend. I think it's forecast to rain tomorrow, if I recall correctly.
It's nice to have some new facebook chums too!One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Ouch Polkadot!

A 1lb gain for me this week :oNot too worried as have a couple of weeks off now so I can focus on my eating iaw WW and hopefully hit this month's 5lb target. Also managed to get a pair of size 12 jeans on with only a slightt muffin top so am definitely getting smaller.0 -

LOL!!!! Thanks you just made me feel so much better and that I wasn't the only one who had failed the CD. However, the 19lb loss was a really good kick start for me and I am determined to succeed. I have just spent hours planning my 1st week on SW and looking through various sites for tips and recipes (I'm going it alone to start with cos I don't have much spare time before 9pm)
Thanks again0 -
