spooky dmv, i would have suggested a potato bake. or cold for sarnies or spuds - half fat creme fraiche or vlf yoghurt and some curry powder. You are far more disciplined than us, we rarely have much leftover from a chicken - just enough scraps for 1 days sarnies, maybe 2. maybe i ought to buy smaller ones but the big ones always look so much tastier!0

How many do you feed with the chicken though KPC? We still buy a medium chicken and just me and andy have the breast meat from one side between us, for sunday lunch. Then he STRIPS the chicken of ALL of the meat!! And we use it for Monday Lunch and Tea and Tuesday Lunch. Usually stretches to Tuesday tea too! I still make 12 yorkshire puds, although I shouldn't! I have two, andy has ten! Not all in one go, but throughout Sunday! Can't be good for himI am going to start making mix up-pouring six in tray cooking them, then pouring six more in try when it's cool and freezing them. Then I only need make yorkshire once a fortnight. Works out quite well really, cos me and andy are trying to take turns on doing sunday lunches, and he hates doing yorkshires. So when it's my turn I will do the yorkshires to last two weeks, and he needs not worry about them!! Quite pleased with that! Gosh I've wrote loads already!!!
Annie welcome back! I never thought you went...CD is still a diet, so you should never have felt a cheater! Good luck with slimming world, it's much more practical and "normal" than CD, hope you are enjoying eating again!!

NMM and well done you on your loss too!! Fab results!
Wowwwww. Long post! I will briefly explain my w/end
Sat night-Meal with work-chinese food -shared with girl I work with, I diluted my rose with sparkling water so as not to consume too much alcohol, had only 1/2 a cocktail, gave rest to my boss, it was too sweet and wasn't enjoying it. Shoes KILLED my feet  so had a terrible night in the end! Nevermind, andy picked me and friend up at 1.30am and I had a malibu and orange when I got in, shoes off, feet on andys lap, heaven!!
Sunday-we went visiting so no exercise, foodwise ok but did make some easter nests to bring to work-shredded wheat ones with mini eggsI had one yesterday and will prob have another at work, just to prove I am not poisoning everyone!!
Dinner today was LUSH! Chicken(rubber chicken KPC) salad with a tortilla wrap! Yummy!
Me and andy are going to do, super fit, abs and pump tonight!! Wanna get really fit, but really quick, I am being impatient!
Good luck with the rest of today all, my weigh in is tomorrow, hope I have lost

andy DS has an easter egg but no, no cheery uppy without x box:rolleyes::D he is glued to it usually but his mates called on him and amazingly he went out with them:rotfl:he also has lots of cinema trips and a paintballing day planned so he can amuse himself.
1st time ever have let the little one go to the park with his friend without an adult i.e me and am fretting big time, must keep focused nothing will happen to them I am sure:D0 -
With regard to chicken, I buy the small value ones from asda. Yesterdays cost £2.30 and was just under 1.6kgs. OH has between 1 and 2 breasts depending on its size and how hungry he is/how much veg I do. I never do yorkies, but do sometimes have stuffing. Yesterday OH had a breast and I had a leg and the little bit of meat on the wings. We will have enough for curry either tonight or tomorrow, and the dog gets all the small bits that I used to use for potato bakes, soups etc. Chicken is her thing, she goes mad for it so she gets that, 2 roasties and veg on a sunday! In theory not very MSE, but her food costs a fortune so probably saves us money!
Done a fair bit of uni work so am "ahead of myself" in terms of my daily average. Have also had a bit of a clear up so all good. Now to get showered, dressed and dog walked as she has been soooo good all day considering she's missed her morning walk (has devoured a massive bone tho so shes happy!).
I guess I should say something weight loss related now! Breakfast was a microwaved bowl of cornflakes so it went all warm and stodgy and lunch was half a cheese toastie which the dog finished because I didn't like it. Why isn't my labradoor fat?! Must be the 2 hours of walking a day that she gets, which I'm pleased to say is more now its still light in the evenings as I've been giving her a 3rd walk a day. Sorry for the long and random post, I'm in a good mood today so I'm being chatty and skittish lol.0 -
Well I've made a tomato chicken pasta thing! Just threw whatever wrinkly veg I could find in the fridge in with it, some herbs and lots of garlic. Smells and tastes good!
We normally buy a LARGE chicken though 1.9kg isn't exactly large! I used to work in a chicken factory (cringe) so I know what I'm talking about! We tend to have a breast each (DD is too fussy to even contemplate eating it) and I strip the rest down, but OH took all the leftovers for lunch, including 9 roast potatoes, 2 yorkie puds, and lots of parsnips, and he wonders why he is close to 12stone now (not that he is even overweight! When I met him he weighed 10stone and is 6ft) He brandishes his fat to me now and I'm like HUH WHAT YOU MEAN YOUR SKIN?!!
I made my own tomato sauce for the chicken and veg, and I always think it tastes too tomatoey, even though I add loads of herbs and garlic etc. Maybe Im just used to dolmio sauce haha0 -
sounds a good HM effort BM:T
I could quite easiy work my way through a roast chicken in one sitting. INfact for ages I've been getting my butcher to cut them up so that I free in meal portions rather than face the temptation of a whole roast chicken. I'm just beginning ti allow myself to cook a whole one again and resisting dmolishing it. I prefer the moist meat and OH the breast so that's handy.
good to hear you feeling on top of things today dmv:T.
Well done on the losses nnm, & BM
Todays menu:
bkfast - 1 piece of rye & linseed bread. (didn't feel like much but wanted to get my metabolism going and I knew I would be at home today)
lunch - leek, salmon & 1/2 fat mozerella frittata with steamed purple asperagus leaves (curtesy of friends allotment). Won't bother buying that mozeralla again as it was tasteless. If I am going to consume fat laden cheese I want it to taste stong! Otherwise the frittata was yum.
snack - weetabix
dinner: HM ratatouille with stir fry chicken & grated 1/2 fat mature cheddar
snacks: fruit, swede
I'm finding that having more protein and cutting back on carbs is making me think more about what carbs I do eat and ensuring they are worth it - with as much fibre as possible. So I don't want to waste any self selected carb 'allowance' on white bread or white pasta/rice or too much potato without skins, at the mo which don't give me those extras.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
AIWTDIS That made me giggle-I was telling NMM about my cakes-Ive not been doing them for long. Sorry you missed the yahoo group-but at least its set up now so that its ready if we ever need it again.
DMV the chocolate cake scenario definitely sounds like a cartoon picture-lots of energy coming your way to get your essay done. Glad you’re in a good mood today.
Victory Yay! How did you fix it?
I haven't done well for eating again today, walking has not been easy so Ive been sat on the couch as much as I could. The lady downstairs brought me back my vase though and I fell down the stairs trying to come up them (if that makes sense) so I've done the second toe properly now:eek:. DF even said I should go back in for x-rays tomorrow. I saw doctor on Sunday and he said exactly what DF said he would-definitely broken, nothing to be done since the one fracture is not complete. But now that Ive done the second one, its so swollen my toenail looks like its on the side of my toe!
And heard from friend number 6 she's pregnant (not sure how I feel)0 -
Thanks guys for the kind words
Super Fit done tonight, KPC have you had a go of Super Body or Then & Now yet? If so what do you think?
Polkadot, ouch another toe, sending you lots of ((hugs))Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
POLKADOT I hope there's something the doctors can do for your toes, even just something to reduce the swelling. The cake situation was quite cartoon like, but nothing unusual when it comes to me and the pets in this house! Now I should have really pushed on and got some more work done but I focused on some housework instead, and shall now have a fairly chilled out evening. My theory being that I got a good amount done today, and dont want to risk pushing myself so much that I need to sleep a lot and can't do much tomorrow.
BB your menus always look so healthy and varied, we tend to stick to relatively traditional dishes. Tonights dinner was something we very rarely have - pie, mash and beans! The steak pie's from the farmers market are always sooo good, theres just so much tender meat in them, more like eating a good steak than a pie. Not very healthy though! Must try harder tomorrow...0 -
polkadot: you'll be lucky person number 7 to get pregnant. Im sending you good vibes. Tell your OH to drink red bull to give his sperm wings!! Hope your toe heals quickly, sounds painful!!
Thanks for all your kind words everyone, it was all hormones talking and i know that now. I had the worst pmt/pms whatever the label is for it in my life. Jeesus, i was just crying my eyes out wanting it all to stop. Poor matt was kept up in the night consolling me as i just layed there and sobbed for ever. Never want to experience that again ever ever ever.
Now vicki woo is back in business!! im feeling happy and positive again just like normal (ish) ha.
speak soon folks, i'll be living on here soon cos im dog sitting over my mums.0
