  • I am a bit worried as everytime i change my eating habits i get terrible headaches, which i think are linked to low sugar, and i desperatley do not want that to happen this time. Does anyone else get this and how do they get through it without succombing to sugary treats?

If you eat a little but often I think it keeps your blood sugar up and the headaches at bay - perhaps snack on an apple or a banana mid morning and mid afternoon.

One thing i have noticed is that i do not think i am getting a lot of fluid so i will try to correct that. Only problem is that i don't like water and never have but i will give it a go.

You could always try sugar free fruit squash or fruit teas. Your fluid intake does not have to just consist of water.

I sometimes get the headaches and dizziness too due to low blood sugar and have to agree with ffm that regualr doses of fruit helps.

  • Just reporting in, Hi Cutterby! You're in the right place here, the people are fab and full of advice to keep you going.

I've been to the gym today but it's really damage limitation as I was on a training day at work today and they gave us the most amazing food, homemade biscuits etc. I never turn down a free meal so I obviously had to eat it. I did only have beans on toast for tea and then burnt 420 cals at the gym so it probably evened out in the end.

It's a busy week for me this week, so am really going to have to try to fit in the exercise somewhere and keep at it. There's no more free lunches for 2 weeks so I've got plenty of time to be good too.

Take care everyone and good luck to people just starting out x

  • Hi cutterby, glad you liked our thread enough to post. lol simbalou, it's tough when moneysaving comes up against weight loss isn't it? I have the greatest of difficulty in throwing food away - i'm having to train myself out of it hoovering it up because 'it's a waste'.

Yesterdays plan had a little wobble, it should have been . .

    cn cornflakes, milk and oj
    weetabix minis, milk, apple
    cup soup
mince and dumplings - max 1 dumpling, veggies on the side

    in the end it was
    cn cornflakes, milk and oj
    weetabix minis, milk, apple
cup soup, handful croutons, handful cn cornflakes
mince and dumplings - 1 dumpling, portion of veggie bake from yesterday as side

not the worst wobble, but I really wanted to scoff last night. Glad i didn't. Also really wanted chips as we were listening to the lancashire hotpots and 'chippy tea' always makes me want chips! Todays plan is:

    CN cornflakes, milk and OJ
    cocopops, milk and apple,
    cup soup
leftover potato bake, 2 vegeburgers(i'm going to try weighing half the burgamix so that i don't have to throw 2 burgers away)

    Welcome newbies:D

I feel rough today and the numbers are sky high:confused: going to be a struggle to geto n the wii today, alliwant I did once go forward then onto the board and back and it would not register as many as I did and not often the forward ones, I don't know if it is a sensor in there somewhere that does not pick the steps up but the next time I just did onto the wii and back and it registered 3629 my highest so far, I don't go to the rhythm of the mii, too slow and don't watch her because I put it back to the tele, that wasfor 30 mins, I love it:D

How are you feeling today BB?
  • Hi all!!
I'm fat and ashamed!! Joined LW13 (I think) a couple of years ago and failed miserably. Since then I have put on another stone or so and had a baby (He is 7 months now). I really want to lose 5 stone and am determined - did try dieting when LO was 3 months but it really dried up my milk supply so I started eating again. Now he is only getting booby milk in the morning so hopefully I can keep it up!!

Wish me luck! Just made a pot of soup and have a chicken in the slow cooker! Off for a walk with LO in the sling this morning
