Thanks for the info, I have only started and did some wii fit yesterday and did a body test I am 12stone 12lbs.
Am going to make Sunday my weigh in day as have decided myself and ds will be on the wii every Sunday anyway.
I walked to and from school this morning, it is over 1 mile so by walking there and back everyday it will be 4 miles per day, I am also aiming to do at least 30mins on wii fit everyday.
Today instead of my usual mid morning cuppa and biscuit have had 2 glasses of very weak squash and a banana.0 -
morning all.Beginning to recover today, though a slow start and just had breakfast. I've got next week off work, so looking forward to that.
Victory - I've not been in a lot of pain, and certainly not more than yourself, dragon, dmv and others here, it's more been feeling very ill. The drugs at the moment contain the arthritis to a level where the pain is there but more of a discomfort than a pain. Except my neck is giving me jip so I am not sleeping well but I am finding a cold thingy from the freezer helps, though not always what one wants in the middle of the night! I really need anti inflamatries but can't take them as they clash with the drugs..
Anyway, trying to get back on track a little today. I notice my biscuit cravings have considerably reduced this last month, but I am wanting a lot more cereal. Not good for weight loss, but more heathy than a pkt of biscuits at a time. I even made OH some flapjack late last night for his lunch box as he has 3 days of manual labour ahead and poor lamb needs his grub:D , and I only had a tinsy winsy bit. So I hope the sugar craving is calming down.
Kazz - sounds like you have made a very good start:T
buttonmoon - you have done so well reducing from the morbidly obese to very nearly overweight - that is a great achievement and you will have sooo helped your heart and joints etc, so well done you:beer: .
Sorry, can't remember our other newbewbie who is doing the diet, but good luck with it. There is a support thread for that (through their book related website, not mse) if that is any help to you, to get more specific advice and support, but you are very very welcome here too.
I always thought that eating plan might suit you kpc with it's lucious food, but I know you know what works best for you.
anonymous - someone on the 'live on 4k' challenge(on the dfw board) to which i belong has just been diagnosed with pCOS and is starting on a low gi diet and after 2 weeks is doing well and feeling good on it. It is tough to have these conditins that make losing weight difficult, Have you done research on the net for PCOS and weight loss?
Right, duvet and sofa is now calling for a bit.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Hello Gang!
Well done Buttons & Dragon - great losses this week!:D
Newbies: twiceasnice, anonemouse, PJ1 and kazzajr welcome to the nice bunch of supportive peeps on here.
PJ1 - I'm doing a low carb, low calorie diet at the mo. Hoping to break through the stone barrier this week *crosses fingers & everything crossable*! I am a self-confessed carb-muncher, and know it's my achillies heel, so by keeping it at a minimum I avoid caving in (too often). I log my meals on a daily basis on Foodfocus, and here, so you'll get an idea of how I am doing it, if it helps?!
Anonemouse - There are quite a few losing weight, despite illness, disability, etc. Does your PCOS affect your ability to exercise? I think quite a few of us here have discovered, with the benefit of the HHA's, that incorporating a bit of exercise several times a week has helped shift the pounds.
Kazzajr - you'll have noticed quite a few of us use the Wii for exercise, and deciding to walk to/from school is a great idea. Are you following a particular eating plan too?
twiceasnice- I have had to cancel my gym due to the cost, but it definitely helps with weightloss, and I had fast changes in my body shape too. I use Foodfocus to log all my food each day, and I also use it to plan foods, as some are more calorie high than I realised.
Well, it's been a really busy day here again. Another tonne of sand arrived, which we shifted to the end of the garden, and I wheelbarrowed move paving down to where we're laying the paving. We got it all done by late lunchtime, and I really would have loved to have had the crusty breadrolls I'd bought for OH too, but I was a good girl.:A It's been nice to have some time together, and we've had a laugh doing it - even if we do both feel like a couple of OAP's now! We're not as young as we were, apparently!:rotfl:
Tomorrow, we begin dismantling my huge shed. This is probably going to turn into the largest jigsaw puzzle ever methinks! I'm going to number the panels/pieces, and take lots of pictures as we do it. It was built to order, from scratch, by a carpenter, so it's not just a case of taking the panels apart, as with other sheds I've bought. It's a lovely timber building though, and is a good space for storage & for the kids to play in, as I had a canopy built over the double door opening, and there's a loft space inside too, plus it's insulated & lined, but you can see how it's going to be a challenge to take it apart & rebuild.
Food today:
B - porridge (40g)
L - 100g natural yoghurt, 1 small banana, 5 strawberries, 75g sliced apples
Snacks - 1 snack a jack slice, 2 x sesame ryvita
D - bolognese with extra veggies, & v.small portion of wholewheat pasta (still using my kiddies sized plate, to keep portion under control)
Stayed up too late last night, so I have vowed to get to bed earlier to make up for it - it'll also stop me having the huge cravings I had last night, but ignored (with difficulty)! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Hi to all the newbies and :j :j :j to all the losers, looks like a bumper week for weight loss:T
I have decided that 2 days of being good is never going to compensate for 3 days of sliding while I was away:o so not going to weigh myself this wed, coz I will be crushed by the undoubted gain, put down a stsand work my butt off till next week:rotfl:
Hope that's ok:D

I am reporting yet another week of STS. It is my fault. No exercise and rather too many muffins during the interval in the play that i was in!!
So this is it.... healthy OS eating and at least a bit of exercise. Out with the ramblers on Sunday. Hopefully salcercise on Wednesday and I have discovered a Sky channel which does yoga and pilates.
Today I have had
2 shredded wheat with semi-skimmed milk
beans on 2 slices wholemeal toast & cherry yoghurt
HM spicy mince with rice
rhubard with cereal yoghurt
I feel stuffed now. Got to go out to a meeting later so will take a banana just in case the biscuits come out. Day one of no biscuits/chocolates:T .
Lent starts on Wednesday so that is another incentive to stay away from the 'bad' food.Jane 21120 -
grrrrrr   My day has been terrible, woke up to no internet, it only just got fixed at 7pm, i felt like my arm had been cut off !!!!! Reporting another STS i hate my scales :rotfl: lost 0.5" off my waist though :T I hope to get a workout done soon.
Glad you're feeling better BB, will catch up fully later, TTFN.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

I'm the same Jane, I'm giving up (continuing to go without) sweets/chocolate/cakes for Lent. :EasterBun
I'm working on the theory that no one will try to go against 'holy orders' by cajoling me into partaking of such things - often it's just to make them feel less guilty about eating themselves, don't you think?
So, I intend to be a positive angel for the next few weeks! :A :rotfl:One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Evening all sorry I have not been on much but sitting on the PC with a painful shoulder is uncomfortable.
Thanks for all the advice re heart rate as I really wasn't sure. I didn't realise that home equipment could be so out. I might have to consider treating myself to a heart rate monitor so i can get a better idea of what I managing to do.
I did feel guilty sat in front of the TV so did 1 hr of free step on wii fit again but I cannot seem to get near the 3400 you others seem to reach. How on earth do you manage to get that many steps to register?? When I try to get more steps in they don't seem to register. I guess I will just have to try harder.
Well done to everyone who has already had a loss this week, I am keeping my fingers crossed for when I weigh in. I hate not being able to exercise like I was just as I had got into the habit as well!
Have a good evening everyoneRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed
