    Hello Gang!
Kazzajr - you'll have noticed quite a few of us use the Wii for exercise, and deciding to walk to/from school is a great idea. Are you following a particular eating plan too?
I'm not following any eating plan just now but am just keeping track of what I am eating I am also using foodfocus and logging everything I eat.

I don't really crave sweet things and can easily go without chocolate, I'm more of a savoury junkie I think my problem is there is only me and ds yet I still cook huge amounts as I mostly cook from scratch and it's too easy too eat too much if it is there anyway, but I have been cutting my portion sizes and freezing extra portions of most meals.

I will see how I go with this and the extra exercise before seeing if I need to do anything further.
Another bonus of walking is saving £s I used to spend on bus fares, I used to buy a weekly ticket and now I haven't got it I will be more inclined to walk into town as well.

My only problem with walking is I have already got a couple of blisters, I think I need to get some proper walking trainers but am a bit clueless, any advice on that would be appreciated.

Missy: i could skip in the flat but i bet the people below me wouldnt be too keen! i try and dance when i can though.

Hey everyone, hope youre all well! Im wasting time on the comp, i was looking on you tube to try and find a good bra fitting guide but couldnt find any, none of them were much cop really, or went into enough detail. Perhaps i should do my own and become a lingerie extrordinaire that way!! I just need a model, cos mine arent big enough to demonstrate properly.

Righties matts looking at me cos he starts at 7am tomorrow, ouchy to that early morning!

    bye everyone

  • Hi guys.. Been reading your thread and would love to join in.. I'm 5ft 6 and very very overweight :o I'd be happy losing 4 stone, although that would still be 'overweight' according to those clever weight boffins

Since losing my pony to cancer a year and a half ago I've just got bigger and bigger - kept saying I'd do something about it but same old, not got round to it! :o Well now I've decided to kick my own backside into action as I'd quite like a second child and I absolutely will not put any of us in danger by trying to go through pregnancy this size so.. Something must be done! Right now I mostly do nothing during the day - every now and then I'll get a burst of good behaviour and get on the Wii for half an hour - an hour on my very good days!! And then take the dog out for half an hour - yet these good behavior periods only seem to last a week or so  Quite surprised myself though when going on the Wii last week and it said I'd lost 4lb! Granted it was a month since I'd last been on but I was so so so chuffed with myself - gone on it tonight and lost a pound - which still thrilled me as I was convinced I'd have put loads on - especially with half term!

Sorry for my ramblings - that's another bad habit of mine - along with chocolate, not exercising, eating too much and swearing! My plan is to cut down eating - smaller portions and bulk out meals with vegetables, eat more fruit and do at least a half hour daily Wii stint - my lovely boyfriend bought me the My Wii Fitness Coach a couple of weeks ago - he's very supportive, he wasn't trying to drop hints :rotfl: Anyone else use it? I've just set it up tonight, but my boyfriend set his up this afternoon, and attempted a workout - he's incredibly fit and could only manage half of the 30 minute workout so I'm dreading mine! I quite enjoy the free step on the Wii Fit, stick earphones in and off on my 30 minutes I go - or couple of minutes yoga, 20 minute step and some rhthym boxing finished off with some balance games. I also enjoy walking the dog once we're out, it's just actually getting my bum into gear, wellied and coated up and getting out there - I'm very much a homebird :o Not to mention incredibly lazy :p

Sorry for going on so much - I've been sitting here for the last half hour "shall I post?" and finally decided to take the plunge - maybe knowing other people are there who understand and can spur me on is exactly what I need! :D xxx

Hi Vix - lots of stores do free fittings for bras now, Bravissimo - although I find them quite expensive really, Debenhams, Marks and Spencers - there was someone else too but I can't recall right now, sorry. Would be worth looking into, if just on their websites at the guides, or maybe popping into a store if you have any near you? Sorry to stick my nose in :o Night x

Welcome Cutterby, support is one thing we're really good at :j Keep posting and we'll keep you motivated take it from me, i was a couch potato before now i've exercised almost daily since the new year :rotfl: I think Vix was meaning the guides she found were rubbish as she's our resident bra expert, any related questions should be aimed at her ;) Vix will take the bra world by storm if they let her :T

Kazzajr, not sure about walking trainers but i bought some proper catepillar boots, they even have a 2" heel and are really comfy to walk in. I only paid £30 from shoe-shop and i've had them for years.

  • Hello Cutterby :hello:

I think most of us have been there, I'm a chocoholic - it's all or nothing for me - at the moment I'm in a 'nothing' phase - but every so often I go off on one and post here about how much chocolate I have consumed :o

Oh, don't encourage Vix on the 'bra' subject - she's a 'professional fitter' - if there is such a term - I think she should have done her degree in bra fitting. I reckon, give her a month or 2, she'll have her own You Tube Demonstration - if she can find a model.

  • Evening all,

Many thanks for the warm welcome. I am looking forward to getting to know you all as we battle with our weightloss.

Today went quite well. Eating wise i had Shreddies, yogurt, tuna and rice for lunch and then fish and rice for dinner. I also joined the gym and attended a pilates class. So i am pleased with my effort for today. I even managed to eat under my reccommended calories on food focus :T.

One thing i have noticed is that i do not think i am getting a lot of fluid so i will try to correct that. Only problem is that i don't like water and never have but i will give it a go.

I hope tomorrow will be as successful. I am a bit worried as everytime i change my eating habits i get terrible headaches, which i think are linked to low sugar, and i desperatley do not want that to happen this time. Does anyone else get this and how do they get through it without succombing to sugary treats?

  • Another thought, Cutterby, could you help at a local stables/horse riding school? I've just started horse riding lessons and they always have young girls (+1 boy) mucking out, leading etc

You'd get a chance to get in with some ponies and get a great work out at the same time - I can see it's alot of work looking after ponies/horses.
