I haven't had a refund for items though, at this stage I think some of my order will likely be sold out.
I will be pretty unhappy if there are a lot of items out of stock as I paid the higher postage rate. If the cartons of juice are sold out then I would have been better to get the cheaper DHL delivery.
Another poster said the orders from the 19th are being finished today but I placed mine early on the morning of the 19th so surely mine would have been one of the first processed, not one of the last!?
i know where your comming from my order was from the 13 feb and only got delivered yesterday. i can only assume that he is expecting more stock of one or more of your items and your parcel is awaiting this stock.
what annoys me is the lack of communication over the whole process.0 -
Well i have just had my order from the 13 Feb delivered and what a mess.
All my hoola hoops have been crushed and they are also nicely soaked in delmonte how nice.
I do not blame DHL i remember Dan telling us he was going to be using stronger and better quality packaging hence the removal of the mse discount. however this box was cheap and tacky and not up to the job of transporting soup juice cartons and hoola hoops. the box was also missing the alternatives i was promised on the phone yesterday so my chicken soup has worked out quite expensive. i don't mid delays my complains with approved food are:
stock levels on the website not working correctly (so why have them)
Being offered alternatives instead of refund and then getting refund anyway (why waste my time on the phone)
Telling everyone that orders will be strictly proccesed in date order when they are clearly not.
well thats my rant over for now i have emailed Dan and hopefully he will sort it.
well i have just had an email and refund from Dan he refunded my damaged goods and the postage for my delivery. i have to say when dan himself is involved things are great i am willing to continue ordering from approved food hopefully the system will catch up with the huge demand from all the publicity.0 -
Glad to hear you got a refund ams13. Dan always does his best to sort things out, but some problems could be prevented in the first place. I am sure given time everything will start to run smoothly.0

because I've not heard from Approved Foods about my order of 19/2, not had a despatch email and not had a delivery attempt.
Also, after I placed my order on 19/2, on the same day I sent Approved Foods a separate message via Google Checkout asking for confirmation that all items were in stock and would be allocated to my order, but have had no reply.
I think that the poster above who referred to items being out of stock affecting deliveries is right as both of my orders (17th delivered 24th, 22nd delivered 25th) had no items out of stock and i'm guessing this contributed to their fast delivery.
Hope you get yours soon though.0 -

My order was also placed early in the morning (before 6am) on 19th Feb.
Today (26th Feb.) This morning I received a reply from Approved Foods to my question (asked on 19th via Google Checkout) saying: "Your order is being processed today, as we are now doing orders from the 19th. Your order is complete, and there are no out of stock items. Your order will be dispatched this afternoon and you should receive it within the next 2-3 days."
Maybe it's coincedence, but perhaps comments made/feedback given in this forum are being noted?
As an aside, today I received a delivery of an earlier order (at the third attempt) and the DHL guy seemed little miffed when I (very nicely) mentioned the lack of a card being left at the second attempted delivery whereas the DHL web side specifically says 'Card Left' against both attempts on their tracking web page..
He said "we can't be forever leaving cards" and "I nearly asked your neighbour to leave it with him..." (as he's done before) "...but it's too heavy", which is not true because it's much lighter than the last one he left the same neighbour who I was only speaking to yesterday (he'd taken in a Parcelforce item for me) and is quite happy to take in any parcels for me!0 -

As per my post just now (above), Approved Foods told me by email today that there are no out of stock items for my order of 19th Feb.
So, maybe you are right, but it seems AF themselves don't know how they actually process/deal with orders?!

I was told by DHL customer services that they could not leave perishable items with a neighbour or at an address other than the one on the label. Their driver ignored this and left it with my neighbour(thankfully!)0

My order of the 18th has now been delivered. Everything was in stock and I now have the hardship of finding out what to do with 12 tins of asparagus among other things! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
