Tried the value beetroot and also the pickled onions the other day. Noticed the beetroot had a lot less additives in then the more expensive jars. I put the pickles in some nice looking jars I have saved for jam making and DH commented on how nice they were.

I have noticed this with a lot of the more basic ranges. I look for this as I have to limit the amount my son has.

Oh gawd - I forgot to own up to this one!!

It's brilliant value - especially at the moment in the '20% off boxed chocolates' promo which sees it reduced to 79p.

You get 20 chocolates in the box:
Soft hazelnut praline, Coffee flavour chocolate praline, Soft caramel stick, coffee flavour praline triangle (2), chocolate with hazelnut cream (2), vanilla caramel stick, milk chocolate hazelnut cream, soft caramel wrapped in a crisp cluster (2), milk chocolate with a raspberry flavour cream, orange cream, chocolate coconut (2), caramel toffee (2), amaretto flavour praline chocolate, nougat duo, hazelnut trio.

I can honestly say they are excellent - esp the soft caramel wrapped in a crisp cluster(s). And definitely of quality to repackage and give to someone you're fond of.

(I'm just trying now to resist giving them to the me I'm very fond of!!)

Thanks for the mind jog on that. I thought it was 20 but was not a 100% sure so thought better to put less rather than to many LOL!!!!!!!!!!. Cor 79p is an even better bargain.

I thought it was nice choice of flavours and as you say they are really nice. And a repackage and no one would know.

Just glad that someone else replied and had found them. Thought I was going mad and I was the only one who had ever had them.

Oh yes brithday cards 25p each for a rather nice A6 one. I know I make a lot of my own but sometimes I get really stumped and I buy one instead.

I've tried some of the tesco value range but the Sainsburys Basics range is far better IMO. I get a lot of my shopping using their Basics range - all tinned stuffs, their crisps are great 58p for 12, fruit and veg is far superior to the tesco range. Biscuits choc digestives for 25p taste better than McV. Loads I haven't tried yet though!

Just proves how much of the cost goes on the packaging doesn't it? I'll definitely try these.iIfound the value milk choc very good, much more chocolatey than Cadbury's,I think it has more cocoa solids.

I use these all the time as my extended family all expect cards and for between 25p and 75p you can get some really nice ones, including for men, which are often quite difficult
