  • I really feel like I'm being fobbed off, I keep being told to wait to see what comes up on the system, but every time I ring, I'm told to keep waiting! Still no money from my ex's payslip dated 17th, shouldn't they have recieved it by now?

  • Was it the 18th of August? If so, then yes.

  • Do you mean he was paid on 17th September, if so, I'm afraid that they have until the 19th of the following month (or something crazy) to get the money to the CSA.

  • ah, that makes more sense if it's the following month. I'm hoping to get to the bottom of this, my ex has washed his hands of it, as far as he's concerned it's left his pay packet and doesn't care that I haven't received anything.

  • Welcome to my world! CSA have been trying to gain payment out of my ex since last year and now its in the hands of the baliffs.
CSA have told me that if the baliffs are unsuccessful, my case will be handed back to them and will be placed in the hands of their legal dept who can then enforce by other means e.g- taking his driving licence or even inprisonment!!
Why do they get themselves into this mess? I could sympathisise if I thought he couldn't afford it, but his current lifestyle sadly doesn't reflect this. Karma springs to mind!

He should because if his employer doesn't pass on the money HE is liable to pay it again!

Thanks Kelloggs, I'm seeing him today as he's got our son for the weekend, I'll definitely mention that to him. Don't think it'll do much though.

Fiestafolie - I wouldn't get too excited about the bailiffs. They were supposed to get money from my ex in May, I haven't heard anything positive, nor have I recieved any money from it. CSA says it looks like they're handing back the case, but I haven't heard anything about that either. Every time I mention it, they say the bailiff system is down. I'm slowly thinking about writing a letter of complaint as the whole process has been a shambles (I know I'm not the only one). Goodluck with your case x

The thing is, there is no missing payment from the ex's wages. That may not be passed over until the 19th of next month. I don't think there's any point going on at your ex about the deduction from his pay, because there's nothing he can do yet. It's not tue employer not passing over the money. It's just that you've got to wait. Crappy for you, but the ex cannot make the employer or the CSA pass the money over quicker.

If you've still not had it this time next month and the CSA say that the employer hasn't sent it to them, THEN your ex can chase it up as h's employers have done something wrong.

As for the bailiffs and the CSA, I'd send the complaint.

Dont ring em theyve cost me over £30 in the past 4 months in phone bills and they havent got me any money despite my case being opening in October 2008!!!!!!!!!!!

They're a complete waste of space, just dont expect nothing from them then you cant get let down.

As for the ex if they dont wanna give you the money you wont get it. My ex has given CSA everything they need and they still cant get anything from him so dont hold your breath.

Sorry for the negativity just my personal experience with the CSA - I wnt tell you what this stands for in my head as its not suitable for public domains
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
