ebay buying query

  • Informed of what? All it will show is that the buyer doesn't use the internet very often and on the odd occasions I have time and check the feedback left by buyers seeing a non positive left for this reason would get the bidder blocked from my auctions.

All the stuff I buy I sell on at a profit otherwise I wouldn't bother. OK I am maybe not blatant enough to have it drop shipped but I certainly have bought from major internet stores and then resold, I don't understand how else I can make money if I don't have a difference between my buying price and selling price.

About 3 years ago I made a very tidy sum buying a range of DVDs and books from Amazon, listing them on ebay at a 100% markup, they were the days!
You are quite right in what you say, however if my feedback makes people aware that they can buy the item at a lower price for themsleves then there's nothing wrong with that either.

You're going to ruin someones feedback rating just because you could've got it cheaper

People might not look at the negative comment, but they'll definitely see the percentage.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

  • Soolin, I really couldnt agree with you less, I could think of much nicer ways of making 2 quid than to cheat somebody just because they are not an internet buff and if I came across that sort of feedback far from blocking them i'd be thanking them for the heads up.......credit crunch is obviously biting deeper than I thought, I hate that this sort of thing is even defended there is no place for it.....

    How Stupid!

The seller is not to blame here for doing what every seller achieves to do....make a profit? Or whats the point?

You received entirely what you paid for at the price you CHOSE to pay.

It is laziness in not using the numerous search engines to find the item your requiring at its lowest price.

Cant blame the seller for that can you?
    Peace will come to me
  • Not going to leave negative feedback because I can't complain about the quality of the product and it arrived very quickly. however I can point out that it can be obtained cheaper else where - not going to muck up his stats but I am entitled to an opinion.

It's not "cheating" anyone- it's selling to them, at a price they thought was fair.

  • It's profiteering, I hope it doesn't happen to anyone on here for more money, at what point do you all stop looking for something cheaper ?? Im not saying it's one sided im just saying it's unethical....in my opinion, which is the purpose of the forum....

Then don't forget you really ought to mention that on everything you buy as all sellers even High street ones buy at a smaller price than they sell for , sorry if that comes as a shock to you.

I'd ask to return it for a full refund (less fee's), it isnt like he paid postage, or I would leave him negative feedback, I think you have every right to feel cheated whether he broke rules or not Ebay doe's require a certain amount of good nature from the people that use it, whats the sellers ebay name out of curiosity ??

Why return it or neg the seller???

You know that the stuff in shops is sold at a profit?
