  • Oh should also mention about court that the CSA court representative was able to get my arrears put on hold until the final outcome. All £100 of it!!!!
  • Just received confirmation in the post this morning that Cellmark have now received the DNA samples off my ex.

Their letter states 10-15 working days for results but their website says 3-5. I hope it's the latter. I can't help feeling a bit nervous however as until the original results are confirmed there is always the element of doubt from using a web based company.

cb, you're bound to feel nervous anyway. These are life-changing happenings. As sad as it is for you at the moment, I hope things begin to run a little more smoothly from now on. Let us know how it goes.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I have been reading this thread with some shock at what awful deception has taken place and to how many people. You have my every sympathy in your respective situations. It is apparent from you posts that you are people who, in spite of very hurtful events, are taking very considered and balanced responses to the children who are such a part of your lives. I wish you all the very best in your challenges and hope they can come to a swift conclusion. It also helps me put into perspective my situation where my childrens' father thinks it too much trouble to do a 10 mile round trip to see them - insisting I should do at least half of it, and after a number of disagreements over access, he has chosen not to see them rather than comply with a plan of access dates and times I have set out (twice a week and alternate weekends) because the timing is getting in the way of his social comittments.
Please keep us informed of your progress, fingers crossed for you both.
  • The BBC are coming back this evening to re-shoot me from the back to protect identities etc. Will try and post when they are going to air the piece but I suspect I will only find out half an hour before it is aired. At least there is the iplayer to watch it on if that is the case.
  • BBC said all being well (lawyers permitting) that the article on paternity fraud should be on this Friday.

Monica I hope the ex goes for her planned tests and your anguish comes to an end.

    wonder why that is then!!!

I hate to say but you might have to resort to going to court to get the tests ordered. though that could add around another 4 months to the whole process. hopefully she will comply and go.

I haven't got a clue why it seems to be taking her so long to get her act together, in view that it was the child who has asked for the test (allegedly) one would have thought she would want it resolved asap, but then again as hubby is still paying CM, there is no hurry on her part is there

We have both decided that we just have to let everything run it's course through whatever channels it takes and unfortunately as long as it takes, we really can't do any more at the moment. We're just trying to keep ourselves busy at the weekends in the garden etc, but just can't fill that void in our lives and it hurts like hell. We are told by the mother that SS is doing fine/happy and I sincerely hope this is the case but can't help thinking it MUST be affecting him too??

All our family sent cards/presents here for SS's birthday recently and hubby took everything, (including our gifts and cards) to SS's granparents to pass onto him - no acknowledgement from the mother, thanks or kiss my @rse..............

Apologies for the ramble, just feeling very sad at the moment.
  • Just had cellmark results. Negative test confirmed. Can't really speak now as feel too emotional
