    Hi,

Well we are sending our deposit through CHAPS to the solicitor tomorrow lunch time-ish!

Quick question......if we get our deposit sent tomorrow, will they receive it almost straight away and if so would we be able to exchange tomorrow????

I have no idea so any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    xx

Yes they should get it and as for exchange, possbily but ask your solicitor. We sent ours CHAPS after 2.45pm (after that, it might not get there until before the morning) but it got there inside 10minutes.

    Oh that is good then,

I know that the cut off time at the bank is 3.30pm so if we dont do it before this time then it will not get sent until tomorrow!

Now I just have to wait for the OH to let me know when it is sent so I can contact the solicitor......a bad time to have a day off work lol!!

We're having the valuation done on the house we want tomorrow, and the EA has just told us they're hoping to exchange by around August 26th - am getting excited now, even though I know it's silly to count your chickens too early :)

    Oh congrats!

I know, i think everyone is the same, we all know not to get too excited as many things can go wrong, but i def counted my chickens early, now im just hoping that exchange goes through this week.

Although if my OH does not get back to me by 3.30pm he will be in serious trouble......never trust men to do something important! (no offence)

    :hello:

I'm a hopeful FTB'er - but I can't find anyone to lend us more than 75% - can anyone suggest anywhere that does more at the mo? OH will sell his BTL at some point, but it's good to buy ours now and sell the other (a lot) later!

    Thanks :o

Nationwide do qutie good deals as well as Natwest.

Not sure if its more than 75% but I think Nationwide do go to 95% although don't quote me on this, we have a 69% deal!

Good look, you could go on motley fool website and they compare all the mortgage deals based on the amount and LTV

We exchanged Friday, and are due to complete this Friday. After 20 weeks I can't remember what the house looks like so we are so excited to finally get in Friday. It was all held up due to the leasehold/freehold paperwork. We wanted the vendors to buy the freehold for us as there was only just above 70yrs left. It is very fair to say that a clash of solicitor personalities held all this up - but we've finally got there (hopefully). Vendors called yesterday and said the keys can be ours from 12 - woohoo!

Congrats to everyone else exchanging and completing.
