Just been on the day site and you can get the exactly the same deal as the £299 but with an extra 256ram for £339 (£324 after 4.5% from quidco) so that seems a far better offer than the £299 as your only paying £25 for the extra ram and even online from crucial you pay that, any thoughts??Student Loan - £2200, Cleared June 2008

You can get an extra 512 instead of 256 for your £25 by going to lowestonweb0 -

but is that stuff definately compatible?0 -
rjtyrell is correct! After all rushing to get this @ £299, Dell have decidied to now offer it on their website for £339 inc vat and delivery PLUS another 256 Ram (DELL STUFF NOT CHEAP RUBBISH). So as has been correctly pointed out, this laptop can noe be had for less (with quidco etc) online, hassle free without having to upgrade the memory yourself!
After all the hassle I had with 0870 numbers and Dell customer services then they go and pull this one out of the bag!0 -
Well, I may well order this as at the moment I am one of the unfortunate ones who's order(s) were lost about four times, and I am awaiting a response from my letter of complaint. And as this seems a slighty better deal, especially as it can go up to a 1.6 processor following the instructions from the earlier post.Student Loan - £2200, Cleared June 2008

seriously considered phoning them last week for their 299 offer but was put off by all the tales of woe on here, so procrastinated - as usual. Now I've just been on their website and got it for 339 with 512 memory, altho decided to upgrade battery to 6 cell. took minutes, so fingers crossed alls well, but am happy with that price.0 -

I have just had a look on the dell site the one for 339 comes with 256mb, the one for 399 comes with 512mb + the larger screen + windows professional xp
is this right? or am I looking in the wrong place
