I've decided to buy one instead of an Ipod - if that makes any sense!
I am with you on the ipod bit, laptops at this price are excellent value compared to things such as portable DVD players, MP3 players etc Just a bit bulky for taking jogging.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -
Well my notebook arrived yesterday after a lot hassal. I emailed customer complaints and the daily express, has a result a nice lady in Ireland telephoned and I told her about all the troubles I and you guys had had. She put through the order for me, so I asked for a battery upgrade, and she sent me a spare 6 cell so I have two batterys. Cost £334.43 withthe 15.4 screen. Well pleased with the machine, but could have done without the frustration.0

Yes, that will work with a normal BT Line, and seems a good price.0 -
bloody hell, Dell and UPS don't make this easy do they?
They tried to deliver yesterday, I was at work, so they are trying again today (I'm at work again)....
I rang UPS to sort out picking it up. I can't go and pick it up from the depot (with 2 forms of ID) unless I get authorisation from Dell. Any other company (other than Dell) you could go and show your ID and pick it up - not with dell, oh no....
I'm starting to wonder wether this was worth the effort......:mad:0 -

I have had to take the day off today to receive mine.
This will be 3rd and last delivery attempt by UPS so I hope it shows up !0 -
is it just me or has the dell site crashed?0

luckily I live within a 5 minute drive of the depot - but they're only open 5-7pm...
finish work @ 7pm
I'll have to try and send my brother.....0 -

I don't think you can do that, as they will request a photo ID and authorisation from Dell ?0 -

Just you. All fine here.0 -
Just installed an extra 512MB of crucial memory in mine, boot up time is nearly halved. Well worth while for 36quid. Don't forget the crucial discount code.0
