As far as I can see on the online, £339, one you no longer have the option to upgrade the battery (I'm sure you could a couple of days ago).0

Just in case anyone was thinking it... it would be rather dishonest to claim you worked for one of these companies if you didn't and technically would be committing fraud or obtaining goods by deception. The thanks button is here to the right. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work anyway. You have to give them an agent number (or something similar). As Sid says, it is fraud and I definitely would not advocate it!0 -
Somewhere in the past 49 pages I am sure people have said that they tried it and Dell cottoned on pretty quickly and cancelled their orders0

I'm really sorry for being dense here, but why would anyone want to pay more for something than just picking up the phone. As soon as you tell them that you've spoken to customer services and they're able to track the call by your own phone number, there is no hard sell.
Honest - you just get the laptop.
Would someone either confirm I'm right or wrong on this?0 -
Wooohooo!!! used marlotech's script and it worked a treat. Even managed to call on a non 0870 number.... (came under my free mobile minutes, so cost me diddly squat!)
Total length of call: 14:25
Upgrades offered: none
Upgrades asked for (and received): Battery & screen
thanks all!0
