He would not let me buy one until i told him what i was going to use it for and everything i said, he said it wouldn't be suitable for even word processing! He kept telling me that the laptop was not very good and would only last 3 months! He insisted that the memory could not be upgraded at all after purchase! He kept trying to flog me the warrenty even after i said i didnt want it! Nightmare so im off to Tesco to get one of there cheap Laptops i dont mind spending the extra now i know what it buys me - no hassle and manners! ;)

The reason they are being so rude is that they are desperate not to sell these because they really are losing money on them. I'm sure you won't find anything as cheap as this in the UK.

If you can be bothered (and I don't blame you if you can't), please ring them back, speak to them using the tips I posted yesterday, and get your revenge by knowing that Dell are losing money by selling you the computer.

That's what this site is stamped with - Consumer Revenge!!!

Unfortunately it IS a hassle to buy it so it depends if your as POV as some of us lol. I had to have the cheapest really to justify it. As mentioned above with the battery screen and memory, this is a really nice laptop for 370 squids. Quick delivery too once you get your order accepted etc....

Well spotted! Does this mean that because of Quidco it works out less than £299...(I don't really understand how Quidco works!)

I am so confused with Dell's pricing policies....

Ring back and if they ask say it is to go under the leg of a wobbly table, or to patch a hole in the fence.

Or tell them it's to go in a fireplace running a fish screen saver.
