Sorry about this, but my poor chap's been inundated by so many orders. He's asked to stop for now, but will see how the land lies at Dell tomorrow.

If we can do any more I'll post an update....

Now I figured this would happen sooner or later lol. Still well done mate for helping as many as you could!

This has been on DVDF for a few days.

Almost impossible to order by phone apparently. You'll spend a fortune on hold and they try and sell you a different model, as it's a mis-print. They've taken the discount off twice!!

  • Not wishing to bother you, but why the 63 pence??? Was this the price before VAT?

Edit: Also in today's Daily Mail, apparently three days left.

I questioned the 63p as the advert seems to be £299 but on closer inspection the ad has a small 6 after the 299 so maybe its a misprint. I didn't argue. The price includes vat which we can claim back making the cost £255

the small 6 I beleive refers to point 6... being how many of these you can buy in the small print of the ad ;)

Yeah I am not sure how the pence came about... it varies so much between people haha. My upgrades didnt come to the same as the website either....

Is there anyone who owns one of these laptops? Can you tell me what the machine build is like : ie does it feel cheap or is it decent quality? I am thinking of trying to get one for my parents and don't want to get a poor quality machine.

    Any thoughts welcomed.

Build quality is good. It's slightly bulkier than I would like - but all sub £500 laptops are. It definitely doesn't look cheap. Incidentally, I had a problem with the wifi (it didn't work!) and they collected and returned it within a week.

From the "how it looks" point of view, please bear in mind that the inspiron 1300 sells for as much as £600 - and they all look the same (I'm pretty sure this is correct). It's what they put inside that we probably need to worry about!

    Hope this helps
