Quick question if I may, have you tried playing a DVD film and if so what's the playback quality like?
Actually two questions, by bigger battery do you just mean capacity or is it also physically bigger making the laptop 'bulkier'?
Cheers,

I managed to order two at £299 this afternoon sounded like an Irish person taking the order, it took 11 minutes of going through the spec and offering upgrade after upgrade right down to asking if i wanted to buy a printer or even a printer lead ! Have received e mail conformation anyway total price £598.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?

Battery is larger capacity but not bigger in size so doesnt stick out spoiling the laptop lines. I I have played dvd's on it as have the kids, it even manages to stream a divx file via wireless to my Home cinema setup without hickups. All Dell'd upseveral times over

How do you put it to your home cinema the Inpiron 1300 does not have a TV out?
That's the real sticking point with me I want TV out, the only problem is that to get TV you seem to have to pay £499 for a laptop rather than £299 (in fact I don't think Dell do a TV laptop for less than £500 though others do) It seems ridiculous to have to pay at least over £100 more just to get TV out.
Cheapest okay with TV out I can find is the Compaq M2350 from Currys (use one of the £25 off over 300 vouchers) to get it down to £474.99 (2% cashback with https://www.quidco.com).0 -

I'm tempted to have a try. Will Dell be open tomorrow (i.e. the UK or European offices, I don't fancy trying the Indian callcentre - had enough trouble with them with my mobile phone)0
