I can only imagine how tough this is for her, I'm making a point of not really talking too much about the pregnancy and i only ever talk about it when she asks questions, I don't want to make it any harder for her and the timing coulldn't really be much worse but there is nothing we can do to avoid this situation, there's nowhere else in the company i could go as me and her are the HR dept for Northern EMEA, and that also means there's no-one else who could help with my filing, I've not taken any time off sick for this pregnancy and have only worked form home on the days it was snowing as it's a 40 min drive and she was the one who said i shouldn't be driving in. I honestly am not taking the mick but some day's it's just really hard when i feel attacked for something I can't change.
I'm not moaning honestly....on the whole i get on well with my boss and she's got some positive stuff going on in her life at the moment, she's getting married in a few months after finding the man of her dreams at 44, so it's not all bad, just yesteerday was a bad day all round....it's behind us now and i'm off on holiday next Friday so I can focus on that to get me through my filing!!0 -
Morning All
Hypno - Sorry you are having a bad time at work. Unfortunately you and her will probably have to try and stay out of each others way as best as possible, if she has just had that news....My friend took over a year of counselling to 'try to' come to terms with being told she was not able to have kids:(
I have just got my new kettle and toaster so dh has taken over the kitchen and is fiddling away with them! I ended up ordering a white set of drawers of my catalogue, for the baby. I am meant to be paying it off but everywhere I look they are all similar prices and with no car I have to pay a fortune for postage so works out no cheaper really! But because I ordered them on a 'buy now pay later' I ended up getting the kettle and toaster, curtains, blinds, and new bunk beds for the boys:o Ooops! Although the boys bunk beds are missing a few bits, from when we moved, so they are a bit wobbly and as the boys are getting bigger, I'm scared of them collapsing, so they really did need them:rolleyes:
Well I can announce, I am now officially organised for when baby arrives:D
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
