Actually talking of weight gain i wanted to ask a question, I was overweight to start with but since I've found out i am pregnant I have lost about half a stone, I wasn't concerned about this for the first trimester because i had a fair bit of nausea but I'm still losing weight now because I literally have no appetite, I'm trying to make myself eat when i can but should i be worried?

It's lovely but wouldn't suit as it would need to be more modern. Brabantia do a white one but not black.

Am in work in floods of tears and can't stop.

My sh1tty day has just been made worse - my friend is moving back to America in 2 weeks. She's the only close friend I have
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • Hi all, hope everone is well today.

I posted the other day as I was worried. Had my 1st set of blood tests taken last Wed and they phoned me Monday to go in today, so have been worrying for 2 days.

Went to docs this morning and he said everything was fine but with your white blood cell level it is meant to be between 4 and 11 and mine is 14!!
He said it does gom up during pregnancy but not usually until 20 wks and by my calculations I am only 10 but havent had the first scan yet to know for sure

I lost track of my last period a bit so I am wiondering now if I am later on than originally thought oops!

On the other hand he asked if anything else had been wrong with me and I did have a bad chest infection mid Jan and still have a cough a little so could just be that i suppose

ooh I love being in the same sentence as Martin :p

is that a cardi for baby or you?

i thought you would like that :D:D

it is a cardi for baby. i had my eye on one at the weekend in a shop and bless somone bought it for me not realising i wanted to buy all what baby would come home in. i will keep what has been bought of course and use it in any event.

so i found this one on ebay that i got yesterday. has a hood so i dont have to worry about whether the hat style is for a boy or a girl. i will use a plain hat though if that makes sense.

I think they say you should just eat sensibly and if you were very over weight to aim to not put any weight on during preg (which would technically mean you would be loosing weight as it is being counteracted by extra weight od ababy, fluid, blood etc)
If you are being very sick and loosing weight because of it then you need to tell ur GP/MW ASAP HTH

There is a thing to work out how much weight you personally can expect to put on here http://www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/weightgain/

I was overweight years ago and lost alot of my weight in the first bit of pregnancy. Seem to remember living on soup as it was all I could stomach!

I use a sniper which automatically puts your bid in about 20 second before the auction ends so you aren't bumping up the price constantly by getting in a bidding war with someone :D I use http://www.auctionstealer.com/home.cfm

    Hey Sami,
thanks for that, i've checked all of those and they say i should put on just over a stone over the whole pregnancy, I am overweight but not by a huge huge amount, i'm a size 16 though so lumpy and bumpy all the same. I just find it hard when the pregnancy books and e-mail updates are coming through this week saying I should have put on anywhere between 2-6lbs by now and I'm thinking "god, i've lost more than that!"

I'm not being sick at all, I have only had nausea even in the first 12 weeks, but i just have no appetite and am not able to manage anything more than a very small portion before I'm so full i think i'm going to burst....

OH doesn't know what to do with me....I normally LOVE my food (hence the lumpy, bumpy body )
