    Hi all..

AM, very sorry to hear about your OH's job. Krystal, any news on your hubby's yet? Random date memory coming into play - was it the 18th he might hear by?

Labour vibes for MFD and emlou! :D

Baby has been moving loads today. I was getting 5min bursts of activity a few times a day but now it's constant for about half an hour, then 15mins off before he starts again! What's weird is the kicks which aren't outwards to my front, but downwards or towards my back - I hadn't considered feeling it that way too!

Consultant's appointment was a waste of 1hr 15mins this morning. Booked for 0945, got in at 1020, no introduction to who the bloke was so I assumed he was the consultant (knew I'd seen the registrar last time and it wasn't the same guy). He asked me if I'd had a blood test recently (yes, what else would I be there for?!), then looked at the results and said they were fine. I thought that would be it but he gave me a form to book an appointment for 36wks then told me to take a seat in the corridor and wait to see Mr Something-or-other. Trying to remain calm and polite, I asked for an explaination of who he was and who I was being sent to see (as far as I knew I was seeing one person). Turns out he was an SHO and I was still to see the registrar, same one as last time (who told me off). No sign of my own consultant who insists I have appointments on his days then doesn't see me! Waited another half an hour for registrar, who again asked me if I'd had a blood test recently(?!!), looked at the results and told me they were fine - no kidding! He also then gave me a form for an appointment at 36wks and a blood test form for the week before. At least this time I'll know I'm seeing two people! Grrr...

Boss was in an !!!!!y mood when I got in and stropping with me about why I'd been to the hospital - err, because I'm pregnant and was told to go?! She had a face like a slapped !!!!! all day, right up until the last five minutes when she was suddenly all chatty and smiles with me... I give up! She'd been like it with everyone though from before I got in so we think it was just her being her..

Thank you Shelvis for the info on Ventura seats fitting in Fiestas and Mondeos. OH said we'll take our cars to the baby shop next weekend and give it a try before ruling it out - or car shopping! ;)

I don't mean to be insensitive, but we had some exciting news about OH's job prospects earlier today... his boss is leaving and there's quite a good chance OH might get his job :o There are pros and cons and things about OH and his experience/past that will go for and against him, but we can hope! He was offered the position of Deputy Manager earlier this year but turned it down due to it being permanent days when he really wants to be on shifts, but this chance might be too good to turn down.. just fingers crossed and not trying to get too hopeful just yet :)

Oh, and we found out the mortgage is going down by about £100 a month once we come off the fixed *special* deal rate! It isn't all good news.. OH was phoning round all his creditors to get up-to-date figures for when he's back in court next month for the ongoing "Natwest trying to slap him with a charging order for his £25k debt" saga - he ain't all sweetness and light! ;):o

Phew, that was a mammoth post! :o

AM sorry to hear your news. Does he get some redundancy pay atleast? Hope he finds a new job quickly.

Shellsuit, I aint worried about my weight, had a BMI of 33, but since my 5/3 scan I've lost 10kg! And I've not even been that sick? Plus, they don't mention weight to me as I had anerexic tendancies in my youth, right up till I fell pregnant with DS1. I ate once a day only. They brought it up after I had DS1 as I did put opn a lot of weight and I snapped their heads off that it was because I was actually eating, I had quit smoking during pregnancy and I was depressed living with MIL! :rotfl: On another forum is a thread about how they are all going to go to weightwatchers and join gyms as soon as baby is born as they have put on so much weight... all I could think was 'mmmmhhhhmmmm, you think that now but once the sleepless nights kick in will you still want to find childcare so you can go to a gym?' really sarcastic like.

Who came up with the tuna rations? All I want to eat all teh time is tuna, tuna and more TUNA!!!! Tinned with a squeeze of lemon juice, a steak with pasta and olive oil, in sammiches with mayo.... DH is on his way home with a chinease woohoo! But it's just not tuna....

Well done on the remembering Elle, yeah its officially the 18th that Hubby will know about his job but all interviews have been completed now so he's hoping they might know something sooner... He actually has an interview on Wednesday for the new senior position they are creating but he thinks they already know who is getting that job so he isn't holding his breath... Just paying them lip service by applying... (Incidentally, he actually interviewed for the senior position when we first got together and was convinced he'd get the job, but his boss at the time was bezzy mates with one of the office girls and gave her the job... Gradually over the last 8 months all her senior roles have been taken off her because she couldn't do them properly and that's why a new senior position is being created... Maybe if he'd of got the job in the first place it wouldn't be an issue now...)

Good news about your hubby though Elle! (And I'm jealous about your fixed rate ending, I thought I was doing well to fix mine for 5 years... will cost £2k to get out of it now... Ho hum... It's only a small one by todays standards...)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

No such consideration here! I've got a history of eating disorders, but nasty consultant didn't seem to care! Shall be interesting to see what happens when I'm not pregnant, I'm in 'remission' at the moment, hopefully pregnancy has snapped me out of it!

I'm knackered, just put all the shopping away. Baby didn't like that, he likes me to lie on the sofa and do nothing.

Next time they mention it just say that as you have a history of eating disorders and they keep making you feel bad about your weight, you will make a complaint and may even go so far as to speak to a lawyer. That usually shuts them up. Hope you never go back there hun, having a lo will teach you that there is just so much more to life.

And yes, it hurts like hell when I sneeze, which I do every hour! A strip right across my wee 15 week bump. It hurts if I get up too quick too, bad muscles!
