a friend of mine who had a baby last year had spd and with the physio and exercises she had she was able to keep working right up to 34 weeks, not a job where she was on her feet all day but did involve a fair bit of walking up and down the shop she worked in. i think she found keeping active helped as when she left work she really started to suffer!Mummy to

I've washed the cover of the cot mattress... Terribly naughty of me not forking out hundreds on a new one... But seeing as Aimee was using it up until christmas I'm pretty sure it hasn't grown any deadly mould whilst in storage... Just got to try and get it back on again... Washed up a shiny satin quilt and bumper set my Mum gave me... Completely impractical but I bet it will look cute on... Might take a pic and post it later...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Midwife has just been (not mine, one of the Community Midwives) and reluctantly gave me a sweep....for what it was worth. If the one by my MW last week didn't work then this one has no chance - she barely touched me! Mine had a good old push and poke and then let the student have a go for double measure
She said that my cervix is still quite posterior although it is soft, much the same as last week.
She said it depends on how much inducing they need to do as to whether waterbirth is an option. If I go on just the gel then I may still be okay. We will see I guess.
Ah well - hubby just said only 3 more wake-ups til eviction day :j

Half ar5ed midwives are a nuisance aren't they... Hope something happens for you soon though mate, I think everyone should have a water birth!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Half ars3d was exactly what she was Krystal - like a wet lettuce...I had to persuade her to do me a sweep because I had one 5 days ago and she wasn't sure that things would be any different (before she even went near me!).
She didn't seem overly taken with water births - she was definitely 'old school'
Hubby offered her a coffee but she refused in such a way that made it sound like an insult 'I won't take one off You!'
She also told me I would have to remove my undergarments to have a sweep - NO  REALLY!!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Your poor hubby... Having his tea snubbed... Maybe she's that old school she thinks you should of been the one in the kitchen making the tea lol...
I had one once that completely ignored me through the whole appointment and kept talking over my head to my Mum about me!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Go away! I want the baby sleeping bag with little rosebuds on it now. Stop putting temptation in my path people. Whatever you people do DO NOT give me any more recommendations for baby chairs/bouncers, my favourites list is spilling over.
I could however do with recommendations for bath supports/chairs etc. I cant use the kitchen sink, it mings!!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

Sorry to hear about hubby's being laid off.
We are in a bit of a quandry in that hubby has been offered a dream job where I work but it would mean taking a pay cut of £12,000.00. I am feeling so very selfish right now because I dont want to lose all that pay but I know that it is a job that he has always wanted.
Sending labour vibes (both in the work sense and the birth sense) to all those yummy mummys and OH's in need.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
