AM, sorry to hear about your OH... What is it with Men's jobs just recently? You'd think the partners of pregnant women would be allowed special exemption!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • AM - what pants news about OH job. Fingers crossed that he gets a new one soon.

  • sorry to hear about the redundancy, AM. Fingers crossed he finds something soon.

Dh works in sales and they're all a bit jumpy at the mo - doesn't help that the management are cracking the whip. People just aren't buying. Doesn't look like he'll lose his job but commission is scarce...

Hugs to AM and her OH. What rubbish news at this point in the pregnancy.

I've had a really positive day. I had really bad PND after my last birth (none at all with no 1 though) and both I and my obstetrician were worried it might recur this time round. The psychiatrist I saw last time round has retired, but I've just come back from seeing a new one, who was absolutely lovely, and who seems pretty sure that last time was a freak one-off incident, caused by other physical health problems at the time (I had a hideous birth last time and was very ill afterwards) and that I'm at no more risk than any other mum of getting PND this time round. So, am feeling much more relaxed about things. On the way home, I bumped into my obstetrican in the street, which was a weird coincidence (the two docs don't work in the same hospital) but feels like a good omen.

12 week scan next Tuesday, and hopefully after that I can truly start to chill out.

DD's birthday today as well (she of hideous birth story), so am off to do school pick up then all going out for a chinese meal for tea.

glam, i'm still here waiting... having a sweep weds so hopefully that will get things moving if he hasnt appeared by then!

MFD, good luck with getting induced, at least you know it will all be over by the end of the week now!

i had a bmi of 34 at my booking but i've been well left alone, the midwife that did my booking told me i would need to have lots of extra tests but was nice about it but then when i got changed to another midwife she said i wouldnt need them, i've seen 4 in all and only the first one had anything to say about it so i havent prompted any of them! i havent been weighed or anything since and i'm quite grateful! i have no idea how much weight i've put on but it cant be a huge amount, i'd rather not know though!!

Well we had some bad news today, OH is being laid off his job at the end of the month :(
Perfect timing, but at least we have got all the baby stuff.
I just hope he manages to find something by then.
I have 42 days left too and I'm seriously thinking about leaving it to 38 weeks then if i've not given birth asking for a section, I cant bear to get much more bigger *cries* apparently they wont let me got over by more than a week max, but I seriously dont see how I can cope with another 6 weeks worth of growth!
sorry to hear that, thats the last thing you need at the moment.

I got diagnosed with SPD at about 18 weeks I think it was. Its being mangaged with exercise (20 minutes on the floor, 4 times a day, plus 20 minutes of pelvis floor exercises, 4 times a day!), a support belt, correct moving and crutches when needed.

My Physio said that almost all women are able to manage the condition with the right help and advise, and she should almost certainly find things get a lot easier when she knows how to manage it.

    Still hurts a bit though!
