  • I've had my head turned since moving house and having a Waitrose at the bottom of the road (v dangerous!) Their milk choc flakey truffles are s*x in a box. Have told Dh that at £4 odd a box that's very good value for money in terms of happiness! (note to self to remind him of this: we haven't had a box since xmas, even at my b'day!)

Thanks, Glamazon - we're due not that far apart. Just had a dating/nuchal scan last week and it was amazing. DH and I were just grinning so hard our faces ached. Really funny the way they do little sudden squirms and jumps. Doc said it was normal but it looks like an electric shock!

I forgot I've got a scan on Wednesday! Get to see which way up he is! He has probably been head down since 28 weeks, but yesterday he had hiccups in the wrong place, so I wonder if he moved. He also managed to get right around to one side yesterday, that was gross!

Tesco will be here between now and 4pm and my fresh cookies, donuts and icecream will be here! I love shopping day!

Speaking of Krystal - has she gone into hiding again?
    :hello:

I had to walk the girls to school this morning... Thankfully a friend of mine drove past on the way back and offered me a lift... Otherwise I might seriously still be walking back now! It then took me 30mins to get the washing pegged out, I feel so decrepid! Had to go and have a 2hr nap after all the exertion....

Loulee... Sami is completely right, I smile and nod whilst mentally giving health proffesionals the finger... My BMI was 44 pre pregnancy, I humoured them when they sent me for a GTT (Having a diabetic ex who now only has 1 leg... I know how serious diabetes can be...) I even humoured them and went to see an aneasthetist, even though I knew the appointment would be a waste of my time... And it was... And I just about got through a 28 week growth scan and a consultant appointment with gritted teeth... As she told me everything was going pretty straightforward and baby was growing at a normal rate... Then said she'd see me again at 34 weeks anyway... That was when I'd had enough... I politely declined.... She looked at hubby in a 'help me out here, your wife's mental' kind of way... He smiled and nodded just how I'd trained him... I'm now back under midwife led care and if they think there is a problem with the baby they can refer me back...

Ooh, and I casually dropped into conversation at my antenatal class... 'I heard that if you don't want to go to hospital and refuse to leave the house, a midwife still has to come and see you...' The midwife running the class asked me when my due date was and said she might have holiday booked around that time... I wouldn't do that to hubby though.... I don't think I would anyway ;)

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Why is there no cake or chocolates in my house? (apart from the handful of minstrels I finished off earlier...)

Oh, I forgot about the aneasthetist appointment. Was a bit useless really - it was supposed to enable me to make the right choice for me about pain relief, but she couldn't give me any facts or figures. I've been told I'm at increased risk of things because of my weight, but she couldn't tell me how increased a risk. The only thing she could put a number on was the chance of me getting a headache. She did tell me I had a fat back though :( (Well she put it in a nicer way, but that was all I heard!)

Right after one rather big tantrum the lounge is no longer a sea of block, books and teddies! now its safe to go get some bits n bobs from tesco to make hubby feel better when he gets home! - poor thing I'm sure its not good for him to work a normal amount of hours he always gets ill when there's no overtime!
Got to nip to mum's and use her printer for courier labels - I've made £10 profit on my ebay sale!! :j

We went private as I have just missed out on being able to have the nuchal test in my PCT... The private option also let us have the blood tests for chromosomal abnormalities at the same time (getting the report Friday). I wouldn't normally have considered private but we just thought we didn't want to miss out on the nuchal scan. He did about 5 measurements and said after 1 it looked fine - a real relief.

I had a bmi of 24 at the start. I had just lost 5 stone on the cambridge diet so I probably would of got a telling off before I lost the weight. I know I will have alot to lose after beanie is here, but quite frankly I pretty much starved myself from January to May last year to lose the 5 stone to fit in my wedding dress so I am now relishing eating what I like when I like. I am happy and beanie is happy so I couldnt care less if people look at me now and think, oh dear shes putting on the weight again. Boo sucks to them.
