Funny - you ladies are all putting down laminate and I ripped mine up just before Christmas. I have gone for carpet in my living and dining rooms. I hated the laminate, it was too cold and a b00ger to keep clean and I want to be able to roll around on the floor with Bubba!! I don't mind a bit of hoovering and scrubbing occasionally (we did go for a darker colour carpet though...to REALLY show up the baby sick!!)

    xx
You aint the only one, we are getting carpet for our front room when we have finished the decorating, i absolutely hate laminate, you swep and mop then 2 hours later it needs sweeping again, !!!!!! is all that about

    Oh god what a day.
Had to go to Nans this morning to do her breakfast, check blood sugar levels, give insulin etc cos mum is away.
Then rush back because buggy was due to be delivered between 8am and 6pm, then OH's Mum and Dad phoned to say they were coming round, so they have started on the decorating, I then after bloody days of waiting finally got my new insurance certificate through so had to get the car tax, and whilst I was out the buggy was delivered :j
BUT I'm not scared the carseat wont fit the car, soo...... if I take it out and try it and it doesnt fit can I return it or not?
It says I can if it's unused but does getting it out of the box and trying to fit it in a car count as used

    Hi Ladies,

Congrats to those who have had their babies! :j

Well i'm 9+2. I've got my first midwife appointment next Wednesday. I had to cancel my original booking in date as I had training at work & then the training got cancelled! So I still have to wait for my scan date to come through.

Anyone got any idea on how long it usually takes to get a scan date through once you've had your booking in appointment? I'll be 10 weeks then.

Today I feel great...No sign of sickness at all. Good job really as last week was a killer. The smell of Ruby's poo just proved to be to much at times! Funny really you think your body would be preparing you for all the smelly nappies.

Can I just question you lot about when you told your employer that you were/are expecting?

I started my job in early December. I'm about to finish my probationary period & so I have decided to tell them after that. Do you think that's the right thing to do?

    Thanks!
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:

AM - did you find out about the toaster incident in the end? Was it an actual 'real' one or a toy one?

I'm not very tall either I am 5ft 2in (just) my 8yr old is up to my shoulders! He definitely takes after his dad.

    I love those trainers Sami:)

Sorry to hear about your bank trouble emlou

Don't think I said anything yesterday Tine, but did read about your wasted journey to London. At least with the 'official' letter work may get off your back a bit now. Glad you got some cream for the Thrush (I knew it was:)) it clears it up pretty quickly. It's a pain having the additional monitoring for GD but at least they are looking out for you both:)

Hi Becky, it varies from area to area, but they usually try for the dating scan around the 12wk mark, so hopefully they will get it sorted for you pretty quickly.

I told my employer very early on, I was probably about 6wks....BUT we are very close knit little group, and they knew I was desperate for a baby, and they noticed straight away that I had gone off tea!! which we all drink quite a lot of. I didn't actually email head office until I was about 12wks though and that was so I could get some maternity uniform sorted out.

AM - Not sure about taking the seat out of the box TBH but how about driving over to MC now you have the car and asking if you can try one of the display ones? Either that or give them a call - Hope it does fit by the way :D

whoops - just been to get them out of the oven and must have overloaded the cases as there are chocolate muffins growing on the bottom of my oven! B00ger, its brand new and now I will have to clean it!
