Take a black cab and just wheel whole buggy into back of cab?

Would that be safe though - what if there was a crash? Wouldn't baby be safer in a carseat?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Baby would probably be safer in car seat yes, but it's what I see all pushchair and wheelchair users doing around here....To be honest it is most likely be what I will do, as like you say it will be very infrequent anyway.

Congrats Weezl - what a lovely birth story - I'm not so scared now. What a punctual little boy
MFD - Still here?!! Lots of labour vibes coming your way
Becky - wait til your probation period is up and you get offered the position permanently. I know being pg isn't supposed to make a difference but you never know how people might take it. Get your job security first!
My manager told me she was looking for a new job and I ended up telling her! She's advised me not to tell the boss until after the April pay rises have been done and is going to see about full mat pay as the policy is very vague. Another girl is pg so she will use her as an excuse to ask - it was so nice. She cried when I told her about bean and offered to come for scan with me as OH can't make it!! Just booked Nuchal scan for 16th March and OH says he can't make that either  am fuming as that's the only time I can go due to my dates and the appts avilable.
You girls have put me in a gav and stace mood now - I can't decide who is my fave too many to chose from. Also, I used to live in Billericay and OH is from Wales (so am I) so we can relate to it so much. Even call a member of my staff Pamelahhhhhh!
Oh and Sami - Superbad is fab don't you think? If you liked it you have to watch Role Models (not as good but close)
Sami - I like them trainees - I need a new pair and they look ideal - do they do them in a size 3?? I only have little feet but at 5 foot 1 (can't forget the 1) it's not surprising.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
I love that my lil pony tee!!
Well I'm looking at some shelltoes and hubby has just got a new pair so I'm thinking maybe we should get Chris some toohe's got some adidas stan smiths at the mo which I have a pair of too but mine are red all over and his are white but I kno OH wouldn't be happy coz he's got a pair of puma trainers ready and waiting in the next size (which I've just realised I have no idea where I have put them!)
I definately recommend the shelltoes where little boys are concerned! My DS went through the toes of trainers in days somehow -before I found the Adidas Superstar ones. Now they last until he outgrows them - the toes are indestructable!! - and they go through the washing machine and dryer without falling to bits.:beer:0 -

I'm not having a go at you. Most people that I know use them even though they have a car and that is what gets my goat up. If you do have a proper reason then fine. It's just the lazy ones that put baby in the car seat, then into their car then clip the car seat onto the pram, walk about the town for 4 hours and wonder why baby is cranky at feeding time, then back into the car seat onto the pram and off for another walk.
Think I just got peeved off with one couple in particular who called me at 1am to ask advice on how to settle their baby who they thought was ill, turns out they had been out all day and even when visiting friends, baby was still left in the car seat. And then they expected an easy night as he had slept all day?
When I had to do the 8 hour trips with DS2 to a specialist in Leeds, he was in the car all day (with rest stops) and he was cranky for days afterwards.
Em, yeah thats fine... so long as bubs is not stuck in the car seat all day long
I do rant about it a lot I know I do and I'm sorry if anyone takes offence, it's not meant that way, honest! Just please, when its possible, take them out the carseat and lay them nice and flat in the pram. I just forget that not everyone is a pollution monster like me with 2 cars!
Anyway, chips with curry sauce and a couple of burgers sounds like a good dinner to me and DS1DS2 fell alseep about an hour ago and refuses to wake up so he is now in bed and will probably sleep all night. He has a week of disturbed sleep and being ill to make up for.
