Hi all, just got results for triple test and everything has come back fine :j :T :T 1 in 67154 (what a number?) couldn't stop crying.

Feelie what about an individual hamper, i.e. 1 piece of each of her favorite fruits, little box of sweets, story cd or music.

Labour vibes to those in need xx

I bought my friend a Bug In A Rug blanket:

And some Trumpette designer baby socks:

Thanks - she must have a million blankets already though, no?, and the socks I think are more cute for girls than boys - may be wrong though!

She is not really a pamper-type and would not want the babysitting offer as she never really wants anyone to look after her kids apart from her!

Sorry to be annoying on your good suggestions.

Budget is £20-40 depending on what it is!

How about an ornament like a willow tree one they are £20+
or my Aunty gets Chris a piece from the Aynsley Nursery rhyme collection for birth, christening, Christmas etc.
When he was born she got him the "hey diddle diddle" money box is very nice.
Or some jewelry maybe something with 3 stars/hearts etc to represent her 3 children or a charm bracelet with their 3 initials?
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

I wish my bump was like that, I'm getting fed up of being so big, and getting comments from everyone asking if I'm having twins!
    How tall are you?

Im an average shortie at 5ft4 (just about) I wish I was a little bit taller...

DSS mum has bought us a couple of items of willow tree and I had an accident with one and have hidden the other away in DSS room :o

    I wouldn't appreciate a charm bracelet either sorry :o

Looks like we're all having lazy days, I'm not even out of bed yet!

MFD, glad your hubby cheered you up... And if Bubba holds in there till the last possible moment then it will share a birthday with Aimee... And all the best children have that birthday :D I'm also with you in the laminate camp... I have it up my hall for prams and shoes to get dirty... But firmly a carpet in the lounge type person... StepMIL kept trying to convince me laminate is better... But how can hoovering then mopping be better than just hoovering?! And after having bare floorboards in the bedroom for a week, I wouldn't have anything less than well underlayed flooring up here now!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

...and I'm sure she'lll have more which means that the bracelet will be out of date!

She's not an ornament person either - it's so hard.

aaaaaaaaargh what a stupid ridiculous day! i'm on a dmp and hsbc took the very last of my money out of my account to pay off a loan, i know i should have been using a parachute account but i decided when my wages stop and my MA starts i would get the MA paid into my other account and switch my direct debits over then to save work the hassle of changing my account for 2 months wages for me, my direct debits come out in the first week of the month and then any money left over from that i would just take out and then they wouldnt be able to take it from me - sorted! all good in theory, til i looked at internet banking about 11am today to see they'd taken money as soon as it had gone in, and that they'd charged me for the direct debits that had come out cos there was insufficient funds!

i rang them and calmly explained that due to their actions i now had no money to feed myself or the unborn one until my MA comes in whenever that might be, under the circumstances please could i have my money back as they could see that half the usual amount of money had actually been paid into my account which was 2 weeks holiday pay from work from february before my maternity leave started and explained that there is a back log of MA applications at jobcentreplus which means my claim has been delayed. to which their answer was i should borrow the money from my partner, from my parents, from any friend i could find, from my partners parents and maybe his friends could help?!

After being on the phone for 40 mins with him asking me what i'd spent money on in various transactions in tesco, asda and sainsburys (what on earth would you assume? moon dust perhaps??) and me asking him over and over if he thought it was acceptable to take money from a pregnant lady in financial hardship and on a dmp without warning, leaving her with no way of feeding herself, while he squirmed on the end of the phone he transferred me to a nice lady in sheffield who i now feel quite sorry for cos i burst into tears as soon as she said hello lol, she agreed to put some of the money back straight away thank god. i then rang OH to tell him what had happened and he started moaning cos there wouldnt be enough money put back to pay for council tax and telling me i should have just moved my account over and if i had there wouldnt be such a mess, obviously by this point i really needed to be moaned at more so i screamed a little irrationally and hung up on him so its gonna be fun fun fun when he comes home tonight!!

anyone know if stress is likely to trigger labour? that would be nice!!

Does the baby have a name yet? How about a blanket with the baby's name embroidered on it, or some other personalised piece of stuff. Not everyone wants to use exclusively hand-me-downs for their new baby. Whilst its nice not to have to buy everything from new, its also nice to be given nice new stuff just for that baby's use.

Otherwise, could you speak to local photographers, and see whether your budget would go anywhere towards having a nice family picture taken of all three children? When my two were born (admittedly the youngest will be 8 on Monday  ), photographers would take the pics for free (even coming round to your house to do it) and only charge you for the prints you wanted to order. If they still do this, surely they could get a nice size print for under your maximum budget?
