I also think its a bit sad - but they're the only trainers DS will wear (and they last him ages!), and i also like them for me, and if i've got them and DS has got them, DD will also want them  - and i cant buy for us three, and leave the little one out now - can I! (thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it!)
I also got both DD's (that sounds strange!), gorgeous matching t-shirts, one pink, one lemon, from Next earlier in the week. They're the retro style, with a little 'my little pony' on it, with the words, 'Daddy, I want a Pony!'. Suits DD (8) to a tee, and i'm sure the little one will be another daddys spoilt princess! He can't help it when they (we) do those special 'eyes' at him.
Well I'm looking at some shelltoes and hubby has just got a new pair so I'm thinking maybe we should get Chris some toohe's got some adidas stan smiths at the mo which I have a pair of too but mine are red all over and his are white but I kno OH wouldn't be happy coz he's got a pair of puma trainers ready and waiting in the next size (which I've just realised I have no idea where I have put them!)

I'll stick with my Pickled Onion monster munch and S&V Squares, you can keep your new flavours!
I'm having a nice day today, led on the sofa eating nice things and watching House. I know I should be changing the bed, but I so need a day off!
Had a look at the Leebruss website, and funnily enough the only showroom happens to be in the same town as my Nan, whos B'day it is shortly! I shall try and persuade OH to take me there for the day.
Talking of Nan, any idea what to get her? She lives in sheltered accomodation, but its very cluttered so can only be something very little. She can't read or write that well anymore, or walk, but is sharper than anyone else I know. Getting her out isn't that easy. I'm at a loss really, she doesn't need anything, and I can't think what she'd like. If I got her a bunch of flowers, do you think the homehelp lady would be able to water them? I don't want to get flowers if not, otherwise they'll die and Nan would feel bad.
MFD - sending you lots of hugs. One thing I've read is to take a picture of the baby with you when you are in labour - would keeping a scan picture handy help at this stage too? Sort of to remind yourself why you are doing this. Might just remind you though and make it harder, so perhaps get some icecream instead. Icecream fixes everything.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
i intend on being very lazy today as I dont feel well and have had no sleep!! Got to pack all the kitchen up at the weekend ready for the new one to be fitted so will be real busy then and for the next 3 weeks until work is finished. So today is my last day where i can just relax. Then hopefully just as work gets finished i will get my new arrival!!0

Oh it is nice to concentrate on YOUR bumps for a while!!!
Loulee - congrats on your scan and your baby boy! Hoping that the 4d scan really confirms it for you.
Pookie - congrats hun, the ladies on here talk a lot...my advice if you don't visit regularly enough to keep up is to read the last 4 or 5 pages whenever you visit...nobody expects comments after that anyway (and you always feel a bit foolish commenting on something that happened 20 pages ago...well I do at least!!). Hope you like it here and best of luck for a fab pregnancy.
Krystal ((HUGS)) hun, hope today is better than yesterday. My thoughts go out to your aunt.
Elle - moving belly :T fab isn't it!! To be honest though, I could sit and watch mine for hours but nobody else has the patience...especially when the TV is on
Funny - you ladies are all putting down laminate and I ripped mine up just before Christmas. I have gone for carpet in my living and dining rooms. I hated the laminate, it was too cold and a b00ger to keep clean and I want to be able to roll around on the floor with Bubba!! I don't mind a bit of hoovering and scrubbing occasionally (we did go for a darker colour carpet though...to REALLY show up the baby sick!!)
Tara  Scan pics in the bin  Thank god you remembered in time.
Sami :rotfl: we went to watch Benjamin Button and really enjoyed it! It was long though and I cried most of the way through!!
MrsMoc - it is indeed my original due date today...trying not to fixate on it though. I have learned my lesson.
SB - you always say the right thing :A The smile you put on my face was nearly as big as the one hubby put there earlier
Feelie - may have a watch of Bubba's DVD, see how that goes. Or get his photos out and pore over those for a while...I have some cookie dough icecream in the freezer so maybe is I combine the two....:D
Thank you all again for your thoughts and labour vibes.

feelie - what about a book on tape or CD? My elderly Aunt loves these as she can't see to read well any more or have the strength to hold a heavy book for too long. She is also sharp as a tack and likes to keep her mind active. HTHValue of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

A little help needed please. My friend has just had a boy this morning (No3 - she already has a DS and a DD both under 4) - what should I buy her - i think she has everything! What would you pregnant professionals want as a present for a third child??? Thanks0
-
Cool thanks for that Mrs Moc - will def get that done today then!
SB - I did suspect it would be but having never had it before then I wasn't sure and it does say on the NHS site that if you've never had it before then you should speak to GP before treating especially if pregnant. So will be applying cream for the next week and hope it stops
Apparently the shop I did for SIL arrived last night (after several calls to DH saying it wasn't there yet... no... the slot was 7-9 and there isn't much they will be able to do when it's only 8! ARGH!) and DHs niece apparently insisted on carrying in the large sack of spuds (well 7.5kg...) that was in there. I say carry... dragging is probably more apt :rotfl:
At least they will have spuds and pasta and stuff to last well over a weekSpent about £50 I think maybe a little less after the discounts are applied etc but no doubt I'll find out when it pops up on my statement lol!
At least we know there's gonna be food in the house for a little while...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I bought my friend a Bug In A Rug blanket:
http://www.boohoobaby.co.uk/prod_show.asp?id=165
And some Trumpette designer baby socks:
http://www.totsplanet.co.uk/index/trumpette
Both quite pricey but if they have everything and they are that way inclined then they would apprecite either.
I didn't use these shops necessarily, just couldn't be bothered to look any further!!
I would be extremely happy if my friend returns the favour...and have told her so!!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Whats ur budget?
My first thought is something involving a bit of R&R, maybe (if ur up to it) a voucher for one afternoon's babysitting so she can have her hair done or a manicure. or maybe find a mobile beautician that could come and giver her a bit of a pamper once the kids are in bed?0
