  • Right - have caught up since this morning...just need to read through last night now!

Went on a bit of a downer yesterday afternoon. Went for a nap and the phone just kept ringing with people asking where the baby was  then people say really insensitive things like 'you'll have to get used to having something you can't control' or 'well you've got a really lazy one there haven't you' or other various supposedly witty comments that in my hormonal state feel like they are telling me I am a bad mother already

So I had a good old sob then a long chat with hubby about how I feel like I am just ready to get my body back now and I wish I could have a conversation with someone which didn't involve the baby at all and that I feel massive and unattractive and basically it was all getting on top of me. Hubby, for a man who isn't great with emotional outbursts, was very good and listened and tried to understand that I have all these things going on on top of the fact that I desperately want to meet Bubba.

Then we went out to the cinema. Well actually we went to the pub first and I had 2 halves of lager (and thoroughly enjoyed them I must add!). We talked about lots of stuff other than the fact that we were waiting for him to arrive and it was lovely. :D

This morning hubby seems to have heeded my comments about feeling unattractive and we have had lots of kisses and cuddles before putting in a concerted effort to hurry Bubba along. I have also eaten half a pineapple and the RLT is constantly by my side!

We are off to a Surprise 21st Birthday Party tonight...I had been wondering whether to bother or not but it's my nieces fiance so we will go down for an hour or two. I am bound to get tons of questions about where he is etc but better face to face than by text or on the phone.

Got a MW coming to visit on Monday for another check and sweep between 9-4  at least I know the house will be tidy and I will be awake! If that doesn't work I am booked in for an induction on Thursday 12th (quite possibly meaning he will hang on until Friday 13th as predicted)

Looks like you are stuck with me for a little while longer ladies!!

Thank you all for being there for me - god knows what I would have done without you.

Tine- Is my brain frazzled or could your increased intake of sugeriness be contributing to the thrush too?
I asked doc that and he said no... it would be likely to be either just due to pregnancy as body is reacting differently OR diabetes...

sls, you have my sympathy! I get recurrent ear infections like that (think it's something like swimmers ear even though I don't swim). End up getting a spray antibiotic (if you need one ask for the aerosol cos if your ear is swollen the drops just run back out) and a nasal spray. Usually have to take ibuprofen to ease the pain as paracetamol doesn't touch it, no idea what I'd if I got one now!

Well, after one night of the kids being well, DS2 was sick all over my bedroom floor and it stank the whole house out! Seems fine now though. My rash ahs went down too which is a releif.

Just back from docs and it is an infection so prescribed amoxycillin and paracetomol. No drops though?

MFD - Hello! How are you my dear? What did you see at the cinema? I've not been for ages (September to be exact to see "superbad" for BIL's B-day)
My sis had a nightmare this weekend, Had booked to get the ferry over to amsterdamn?? to get to Bruges but the ship broke  part of the keeping everyone on the boat happy was a free screening of "Benjamin Button" My sis said it was possibly the most boring film EVER ..

How did I do? no baby references :A

check us lot buying trainers! I decided (with a lot of convincing from OH) that it was "sad" to have matching trainers to Chris but now u lot are doing it too I want to!!

I also think its a bit sad - but they're the only trainers DS will wear (and they last him ages!), and i also like them for me, and if i've got them and DS has got them, DD will also want them  - and i cant buy for us three, and leave the little one out now - can I! (thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it!)

I also got both DD's (that sounds strange!), gorgeous matching t-shirts, one pink, one lemon, from Next earlier in the week. They're the retro style, with a little 'my little pony' on it, with the words, 'Daddy, I want a Pony!'. Suits DD (8) to a tee, and i'm sure the little one will be another daddys spoilt princess! He can't help it when they (we) do those special 'eyes' at him. :p

MFD, have a lovely time at the party tonight! :D.

Bubba loves his Mummy soooo much that he's not ready to meet the rest of his family just yet.

Huge labour vibes MFD, isnt today the "other" due date anyway. I always have 2 due datesas well, one from the doctor and my own I worked out by my dates/computer

Sorry to hear about your ear infection Sls, I always think of antibiotics like little miracle pills because they are usually so effective, hope they start working soon.

Mrs Tine, I had a tesco baby basket voucher that went out of date, I posted it back to them with a letter and they sent me a full set of coupons with another baby basket voucher attached, so well worth the effort.

Sparkle your bump is so neat, mine is definately bigger and im only 19 weeks lol.

SB, chocolate and chilli walkers are rank! They taste like cheap choco breakfast cereal but with a chilli aftertaste... Can't say I was keen on the builders breakfast ones either but hubby loved them... And my little bro told me that the fish and chips ones tasted like scampi fries (which I love!) but I think they taste like pilchards...

Thanks for the heads up! Think I'll leave them in the pantry until I'm really desperate :rotfl:.

    xx
