  • Krystal - I was hoping you would say Bentley Bridge! It is only 5 mins from my house (where I have just been shopping!). Definitely planning to try it out this summer with Bubba.

There's one thing for sure Feelie - somehow that baby is coming out so you are going to have to find a way to deal with it. We all know you will and are hoping that it goes as easy as possible for you (and for all of us) we will all be willing you on when the time comes....maybe you should have been thinking of us this afternoon  :D

Did you say that pethidine isn't an option for you? It's usually what they recommend when the mother is stressed isn't it?

FG, in all honesty I wouldn't want someone to do an internal if I wasn't well prepared for it or had someone for moral support... I'm sure having your hubby next to you and knowing it's going to happen will make a world of difference. I only had 2 internal examinations, 1 when I arrived and another about 8 hours later...

MFD, we could always arrange to meet up and take our babies together ;) Although think it's a 2 bus job to Bentley bridge for me which is why Aimee goes to Walsall Gala (grim!) baths...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

  • greent - Just wanted to say thank you for a very honest and moving post. It obviously took a lot of courage to write but hopefully it's made you feel better to get things out in the open.

I have a preference as well as I'm dying to find out on Thursday with the same reason as I think a lot of people have given being that if it's not my first choice! I have some time to get used to the idea.

    Afternoon/eveing girlies.
    Hope everyone is ok.
Put the car on Ebay last night and someone wants to come and view it already, plus it's got 6 watchers on it, so hopefully we'll at least get something back!
Had antenatal today, bubs is fine, head down and measuring only 2cm over.
I had a little cry though coz it wasnt my usual midwife again and I wanted to discuss some things with her, but then midwife i had today was actually really helpful, she has refered me to a VBAC clinic so i can discusss it all with the midwife who runs it, also a birth matters one which they will pull up DS labour notes and go through it with me to see what happened and try and give me a bit of pice of mind so i'm feeling a bit better just getting it off my chest now.

Talking about cameras we bought this one in Edinburgh, the bloke in comet (who happened to be OH's cousin) said he recommeds buying a camera thats made by a proper camera company, IE cannon, kodak, Fujifilm, and said the one we chose was a top choice for our price range.

I have loads of tunes I'd like on there - including most of my wedding music :rotfl: our first dance song still makes me smile like a soppy goat when I play it and sing along to it :)
Loads of scottish and irish music too I think...

Tonight I think we'll have pizza - had a carp day thanks to work grrrr and feel like I now need rubbish... whooops :)
On the up side i ended up on the phone to the sales director and she's exasperated at the situation - as she said: The business needs me to work right now and if I'm happy working from home then what's the issue? I am seriously warming to her ;)

That looks like a brilliant one AM, mine's a kodak too but less megapixels and twice the price lol... Bought it for myself with my birthday money the year before last... Think its the first time I've ever spent that much money on myself!

    I'm home.

Everything is probably fine. Went on the trace thingy for half an hour, which was fine apart from when he managed to move and the alarm went off. No midwife in with me, and no-one came! I repositioned the thing, and managed to find him after about 4 minutes. That was pretty scary, but none of the staff seemed suprised - must happen a lot. All the time! Usually they just leave it and baby moves back again!

Urine had lots of things in it, blood, protien, glucose and keytones I think. Probable water infection. Have to drink loads.

Doctor suggested an internal, at which point I cried a lot. He discussed it with the Senior Registrar, who though it was probably unnessercary and I could go home. Feel like I've let the baby down though? Just couldn't face going through with it. Cried all the way home.

Worried about giving birth now, if I couldn't even handle an internal.

Giving birth is not like an internal. I have no qualms with giving birth but an internal gives me the shakes. Trust me it will be so different. Once the contractions start and you get to the bit where someone needs to be down there, it will be the last thing on your mind. You will only be concentrating on doing your thing (pushing/breathing/swearing).

    Hope you feel better soon!
  • Feel & Sugar - As I said earlier I've put on 12lbs and I'm 20 weeks and I'm sure someone will say something at my scan by I think I'm at the stage where if they do I might just eat them!
