I got some info from a thread i started here there's only about 4 posts so u won't have to trawl

If you want the ipod touch and OH says go for it then do the MIL got herself one for Christmas with the personalized shiny back, she loves it and would be very handy for showing off all your baby pics!!

Names, I quite like OH's suggestion of Freya. My other DD's are Sacha, Kensie and Erin so I like simple names.

With regards to babys sex I have to admit to being extremely lucky and all 6 have been exactly what I wanted. Did follow a book this time, girl, don't orgasm (tricky one), not too often and as far in advance of your period as possible as the female sperm live longer. If you are due to ovulate the male sperm swim faster therefore get there first. Probably popycock but gave it a go.

Haven't Amazon got a price change policy, if it goes down in a certain time you get it back.

The 2D one you get; we will measure baby, check babys organs to exclude any major abnormalities, check the fluid around baby and give you an estimate of your baby's weight. Includes a report and 2D (b/w) images
The 4D one you get ; 10 minute reassurance or sexing scan in 4D with two glossy 3D colour photos and a DVD

I'm thinking they'll be able to tell me the sex from the 2D one so its prob best to go with that one, although I don't need the measurements etc.
Part of me wonders if the 3D pics would show up something that wouldn't show on the 20wk scan as I'm still worried about the risk from my MMR jab

oh and on the snack front I threw up about 3 times during labour so eating wasn't on my agenda :cool: I literally inhaled the toast afterwards tho!

Personally I'd have the 4D one - the photos I had with Harry (DS2) are fab - far superb to normal 2d ones. However, I'm not sure why you don't want to see the face??

I don't eat in labou either - with DS1 I was sick loads and they kept trying to get me to take my tshirt off but I refused (too complicated for me to do at the time - would have meant putting gas & air down!!) I drank jugs of water though - 7 of them!! - and that's all I was bringing up (tmi?!) so I didn't really care. And yes, that tea and toast afterwards is heavenly!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

ohhhh... i was hoping to stay with sony as the that is the one i have and i am happy with it, although it is only a 3.2 which was the latest ones when my folks about it for me about 5 years ago :eek:

as for the ipod touch, i am terrible at spending money, i struggle with it (very strange i know) so i take forever to make a decision. i was thinking of using it to send pics quite easily by email to family/friends back home

Sami, I don't agree with the sexing so I'm not going to impart judgement

Aimee just asked me to read the book 'There was an old woman who swallowed a fly' and asked me why she swallowed a fly... I said it was an accident... So she asked if people die after eating flies... I said no, only after swallowing horses... What sort of an idea are these books putting in our childrens heads?!

Feeling very irritated at the minute for no reason... And Aimee's climbing all over me... Trying really hard not to be horrible but she's so heavy and all knees and elbows... And I want a nap...

Just remembered something I was going to say earlier... Shoppie... Our unborn child is currently called Theo... Theo the foetus... My aunt nicknamed it....

I'm so "special" I don't want to know what it looks like before I see him/her in the flesh:o
They also do a 3D scan for £65 which is just scan with 2 pics which would be more MSE but what would I get the photos of I'm thinking one of the hands and one of feet:p

Sami - if you don't want to see the face or the bits then you are wasting your time going for 4D IMHO.

Camera added to my list as instructed...although TBH I really won't be that bothered if we don't take it...I will look like sh1te and there will be tons of photo taking opportunities once we are home. I don't plan on staying overnight if I can help it.

Weezl - I have packed a bikini top but plan on going in the buff. They don't recommend nighties or t-shirts at our hospital (not that I would want to wear one). Anyone who can look at my foof might as well have the full picture

AF - I'd get a second opinion from the old timers as to whether they think you are likely to want to wear earphones whilst in labour...does your hospital have cd players?

Uneventful trip to the shops other than some wicked braxton hicks and the lady in boots laughing at me because she could see my bump moving!!

the only reason I've got a new one is because Chris broke mine :rolleyes: that was 5.1 pixies so not as bad as urs but I was happy with it and wasn't gonna replaced it as was looking to get a swish new mobile with an 8pixies camera in July but obviously I can't be without a camera until then!

and not strange at all about spending money!! I wish i was more careful sometimes:o
