It would be very interesting if we all added our 'gut feelings' on sex to the EDD list then we could see how many of us are right! I KNEW I was having a boy last time from about 6 weeks onwards. I suspect girl this time but am not sure how much of that is just because the pregnancy is so different - but I really shouldn't compare!

I was sure i was having a girl before my 20 week scan! No, it was/is a girl!

  • On a lighter note re sexing. I did read earlier that a woman is more likely to have a boy if you orgasm. True in my case as I always do.

    snipped for ease..
Hand Held Fan (MW suggested that Magicool is expensive but is really good) I just threw a cup of water over myself :rotfl:your idea is much more dignified ;)
Snacks - suggest cereal bars don't think I'll bother with snacks as 'expecting' quick birth and I can't have most cereal bars with my oat allergy :(

    Hubby:
    2 x T-shirts
    Deoderant
    Sandwiches
    List of contacts
Car Park Money - Check with hosp but at ours you can abandon the car and the maternity MW gives hubby a note to put in car that says something along the lines of "we're giving birth so you can't give us a ticket :p"
    CD's for giving birth to!
I too hadn't thought about hubby but I may get his stuff together and keep handy coz he will be required to shower and change before we go he's not quite as mucky as a mechanic but close!!
I'm not bothering with contact list we just notify the grandparents and the news finds it's way to the entire family in about 5 mins flat :rotfl:

Can't be sure if I actually knew or it was just the fear of not having a girl that made me know IYSWIM, either way when we went to our 20 week scan I walked in expecting them to say 'boy'.

Right - I am off to brave the shops! Nothing too exciting, just boots and home&bargain on a little retail park nearby. Anybody need anything whilst I am out? :D

How would you raise that with OH if you were actively trying for a girl?

:( both mine were conceived exactly the same way.... with a multiple O :D
That's partly why I 'knew' I was preg this time coz they don't happen that often I decided it was fate

  • If fact those that have boys seem to have better sex altogether.

    For a girl

    Do it less often
    Woman not to orgasm
    Shallow penetration (missionary position)

No I saw it on the internet but it probably is in the books as it has a biological basis.

Saying that I do think I am probably having a girl this time (hoping it's not just wishing thinking)

Reason is we didn't use contraception because we thought it was safe time. As it was 3+ days before I ovulate. So hopefully all the little boy ones would have died off by the time I conceived.

Hmmmm well the do it less often is nonsense ;) We were bunnies that week!
Not to orgasm... ah... I should be having several boys then - Someone hidden a pair of extra baby boys in there? ;)

Missionary... well I think it might have been involved at one point... or two... maybe 3... but so where a lot of others ;) hehehehehe
