Can I ask how yous all decided what course/courses to undertake and how yous decided what degree/career yous wanted?
Hi Jo
For me - at 25 I went back to college one day a week and did a HNC Business and Finance, but then (14yrs ago) the college only did degree top up as full time.
Fast forward a good few yrs, full time mum, knowing that due to health couldn't go back to previous career, (and that I sued them), so decided to study. Needed flexability, coz of health, so for me business seemed the natural progression to follow on with.
As I was 36 then started back at the bottom of the ladder and did the B120 - Intro to business, the plan is BA Hons Business - as business so wide rangeing. I also added in money related courses and if I could get 2 degrees be brilliant, one would be named as BA Hons, the 2nd would be Open degree.
I also did W100 Intro to Law - like Law, but after 1st year - didn't continue, felt be to long and I wouldn't make use of it.
(sorry for long post) xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I did a year at a brick uni studying Youth Work, then took a year out to work and refocus. I wanted a degree in Social Work but need to work too so I'm doing courses for Social Work but my degree will be in Health and Social Care because I can't get sponsorship in my county, so the Social Work will be post-grad!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Congratulations on the 1st course, what courses are you doing?
If you do B203 - Business I had 6 text books + there course books - think I needed a suitcase when I went to tutorials xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Just got a long wait until December 17th to see if I've passed!
I have just finished DD101 Intro to Social Sciences (and it was so stressful that we all had a virtual p*** up on facebook yesterday when it officially ended!) and am onto DSE212 Exploring Psychology. And have already pre-booked my next course for October 2011! Getting rather organised. Finally I'm onto courses I'm choosing rather than DD101 which is compulsory to my degree.
Maybe you should get a suitcase for tutorials! Never been to a tutorial myself, they time them so that there is no way I can get back via public transport! xThe "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. I'm thinking of taking Sk124. When you receive the materials, will you let me know what you think please?0 -
How are you all getting on with your exam revision? I haven't managed anything yet, if I haven't been ill then I've been working long days or having to help my friend with her wedding stuff. Now off to work, won't finish til 10.30pm tonight so I just won't get anything done. Definitely going to fail.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16
