    hi shegirl :)

I am also doing DD101!!! bad choice.. are you on my facebook page lol.. im not enjoying the course that much but i am going to plob on with it, it is my 3rd course towards an open degree, i am chosing the courses i want..as i want to avoid exams :S xx

I could well be,I'm on one of the groups :)

It is a bit dull isn't it,I can't wait for it to be over so I can start the specific courses I want!

You're in Devon too lol what is your tutor group?I've never made it to the tutorials as my son is severly autistic and nobody dares to babysit him :rotfl:

i am in devon.. and i have only been to one tutorial, and like you, i dont read the book, do the activities or anything really. and fret all month over the assignments and end up doing them the day before and still get 70%.. glad we both show the same dedication to it.lol.
i am in a few of the groups, but i get most help from msn chats, and have made some really good friends on there through OU.

it is very dull, but it has the bonus of being incredibly easy :) xx

I haven't taken part in any of the msn chats yet but may do at some point.

It is incredibly easy isn't it,and while that's a positive lol it does make you wonder about the strength of the course...of course it could just be we're amazingly talented;):D

Just spotted this so thought I would join!

I already completed LLB hons and LPC the normal way a few years back (and practised)but started with the OU in October with DD101 towards BSc hons in Social Science with Social Policy and Pyschological Studies.

Shegirl, do you mind me asking.... you have already done a degree & LPC, so why start with a level 1 course? Why not just start with a level 2 course & transfer in 120 level 1 credits. Level 1 courses are quite easy and are designed for those who have never studied at higher education level before. Having said this, if you are not sure about OU study then I can understand you doing a level 1 course. I am surprised no-one has suggested this to you. You will find level 1 easy!

Because it's a whole new subject area and very different in many ways I wanted to start on level one in the hope to gain more insight and to try and build up the interest and test the waters so to speak.

I am regretting it slightly I have to say and as dull and easy as I'm finding the course at present there have been some elements that have got me thinking about other things in real life (as in the life I lead and the way I see things around me).So I suppose there may possibly be a teency benefit to it...but I'm not convinced!

Floxxie- thanks for the heads up re w200

Am now whizzing through tma 1,2,3 - so hopefully can focus on the more difficult portions and be a bit over-careful about the revision...get that done well in advance. The TMA schedule seems to be really spaced out

Have studied a fair bit of this stuff before at uni..so hoping it wont be too tricky.. wondering when will get tutor details through etc - fingers crossed is not the one from last year, I did note on my feedback I didnt want the same tutor...eek!
