Thanks Happy Girl, I'm interested in mental health / work with young people / counselling so having that extra certificate would be good, I didn't know that. :)
D171 looks good too but I've found K269 hard going because I can't get to grips with the OU way of working yet so decided to do one course, then pick up another one next Spring.

Sorry can't help but have you checked out FaceBook? People tend to set up support groups so if there is one you should be able to find it under your course code.

I've been awarded a full financial award for the course fees - do I automatically get the course grant or do I apply seperately? Got the same last year but can't remember which forms I filled in!

I've written the ECA, but I'm not sure if its right. I've had some assistance from my tutor, but she recommends getting family to read through it and see if they think its okay. Trouble is, I don't have any :(

I'm having an operating on my spine next week, so I need to get it done soon.

Would anyone here read it for me? I'd really appreciate it :o

    Hi :hello:

I will be starting my first ever course with the OU in October.

Gizmo0205 - K101 Understanding Health & Social Care, None, K202 Care, Welfare & Community (or whatever the replacement will be as this course ends this year and a new one to replace it is planned for 2010).

I'm hoping to go onto uni after completing those two courses to do a Social Work degree as by that time both lil uns will be in FT school.
