    Hi there!

I did BU130 in 2012 - it isn't laid back! Get as much done now as you can with regards to the books as it is so different from B120; B120 is more guided learning, and BU130 is very much student led learning.

And definitely make a start on the learning diary.

    Hi

Thanks for the tip. Having looked at the books in more detail over the past few weeks, I am so not interested already and it's only week 1! BU130 just seems to jump from book to book, back to the website, between the learning journal and contract. It's compulsory for my degree path but I have even considered withdrawing as it seems such a wishy-washy module. Wouldn't mind if it was free but I will be paying for this years later! Would have expected more intensity at uni level than this to be honest.
  • Had my graduation ceremony on Friday, & can honestly say I'll never forget it. It was a brilliant and inspiring ceremony, and I'm so proud to be able to call myself an OU graduate. Best of luck to those of you studying, wherever you are on your OU journey!

It's good to see stories from those graduating. It seems a very long way off for me at the moment- I'm struggling to find my momentum in DD102. I always managed to get through AA100 TMA's with just a few minor tantrums :D but TMA01 for DD102 actually made me cry. With stress and frustration!! I have no access to the online tutorials due to my crappy old laptop not accepting the software so didn't have much support.. Just wondering how on earth I'm going to get to the end of this dam module without cracking up entirely!!

Sorry for the long wait in replying, I don't check this post overly often. No, it was in Manchester at the Bridgewater Hall - beautiful venue :)

  • Only just discovered this thread!

I've been doing a bit of soul searching and I've decided to start Q64 Natural Sciences degree next year! My maths is a bit rusty and as I want to focus on astronomy/planetary science, I've decided to start with an access course in February to help sharpen up the old maths skills.

This has been years in the making but I'm getting very tired of my job and decided this will help me focus on something I've been passionate about since I was a child. I also have the added benefit of my employer running a matched learning fund which will help me reduce the costs a little.

I'm sure the 6/7 years will fly in... :money:
