Hello- have just discovered this thread! I am studying D820 The challenges of the social science and hope to eventually get an MA in social science. I have enjoyed the course and think the materials provided are great. However I havnt been very impressed with the tutorials- far too much time spent on 'ice breakers' etc and much less content. However I am currently revising for the exam and am hoping to pull it off! Work isnt particularly helpful, although i have got an extra day off for the exam. So i'm an evening and weekend student.

Re: French Level 1 - I had never done any French before when I started but I am quite good at languages and I'd done GCSE level Spanish, German and Welsh all A* and A grade so that gave me a bit of a jump start, I studied for two mornings a week and found it really easy. I probably did about 6 hours a week and I got a distinction.

    giggles

I'm also doing B120. You don't get a paper copy of the the assignment book as you view/download it online. I've printed a copy but that's personal preference. If you go to your homepage and then click on 'Course' you'll find it on the right hand side of the page under the brown assessment header.

    Good luck

Ive just started D270, its really interesting, but I am finding it difficult. It is my first time studying with the OU and wondered if anyone had any words of wisdom about studying electronically. How do you store links to useful sites/books/articles etc. In the past my studies have involved pens, paper, word and computer disc's, any tips on modernising my study to make it more electronic?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)
