    evening all

rufusdog used 5 amazon vouchers yesterday at once and they worked fine, so yours should work I would think

rusty- thanks I had a lovely time at the hairdressers - have found a new girl who works wonders with my hair - she really knows her stuff - have searched for years for someone like this and found her at the metro centre even though she is nowhere near where I live.
and I love the box - was it easy then - will try some this weekend.

pinkladymel - love the idea of the ribbon flowers mel, will try
I love the sound of this career path - I would love to scrap for a living - wow - hope you win and it takes you far. You def. have the talent.

I bought a half price mag tonight called do crafts creativity - love the altered art as well as the scrap booking. There was a lovely altered easter bucket that has given me some inspiration. Had some good templates in too but not sure how to blow them up to a bigger size!!!

aurora14- I like lightspeed cos they do loads of different vouchers but they also do paypal vouchers which can be transferred into cash.

mhagster - thanks for the prompt about the diary for the newsletter - wanted to do one last christmas but couldn't think of what to say - this will help thanks.

I sent a joke to the beano once - it didn't get printed but I got a squishy octopus thing that you threw at the wall and it stuck!!!!!!!!!!!

Janeliz- card stock=fancy name for card - wilkos card will do perfect then cover with paper. Too thick card will be hard to fold though.

Can I join in the weight fight - I'll win... I'm 15 and a half stone but it's awful cos I'm only 5ft 2, was 9 stone when I got married 5 years ago. Can't blame it on the bairn cos I lost my weight after I had her but when she was 3 months I had acute pancreatitis as I had a gall stone stuck in my pancreas. Was very touch and go apparently but the stone just disappeared somehow so to cut a long story short I had to have my gall bladder removed and I've piled the weight on ever since. I try to lose it but just can't lose it infact when I try I think it makes things worse and I pile more on.

So proud of my dd this evening - she went on the bungee trampolines at the metro centre and she went really high and wasn't scared at all - daredevil daughter - don't know where she gets it - def. not me.

I have no idea about things like this because I've never done anything similar before :o but I saw the Exploding Boxes a few pages ago and they look fab - I want to make one.

It says to use card stock and (told you I was completely new to this) I have no idea what I should really be buying? Is there a certain type? Also any places you recommend buying it from??

    Thanks xx
Quick reply and hello to you JaneLiz! All sorts of online suppliers have card.eBay also has it. My fave is Bazzil because it has a lovely texture and lovely colours. I use 12"x 12" as it was the easiest size to use for the exploding box. Dont hesitate to ask if you need any more info about the box, I loved making it :) Instructions are here http://glitteradventure.blogspot.com/2006/11/exploding-box-class.html:T

Also quick shoutout to anyone who is unhappy with the way they look: I was extremely unhappy many moons ago with the way the mirror looked (!) and lost weight and battled with the 'last half stone' on a diet for 5 years (I went up then down then up then down then up then down, as if 7 measely pounds made any difference?!?!?) but you know what after the year I've had with food allergies, I don't actually give two hoots about how I look, as long as I feel well and enjoy the food that I can eat. A friend made the comment the other day about how I don't exercise much or worry about what I eat now (whereas I used to always be on a diet), and I really don't care now. I am who I am, and I'd rather be 75million stone and feel well than a skinny minny who hardly eats anything. I have enough trouble finding something to eat that doesn't make me ill...and fortunately cheese and chocolate are just fine :D So basically as long as you are healthy and a lovely person (as you all are), you have beautiful, healthy souls and should be happy with those who love you.

Shoutout over :D;) (sound like a radio DJ...if the day job doesn't work out.... :rotfl:!!!!)

Sorry I just had to snip your post .... you mention the metro centre a couple of times ... where abouts are you?? The metro centre is just up the road from me ... :j which means you must be local somewhere :D

Box must have been really easy for me cause I really am happy with it .... and I am never happy with anything! :D

I've spent all my life going up and down in the weight game!
The last time, I weighed 18st then lost 6 stone when the ex walked out (xmas eve 06) and became quite poorly. Since getting re-married I'm back up to 14st and although I'd like to loose a little (I've given up smokin 2!!) I'm actually ok with myself...My new hubby gives me more confidence aswell, he's always said he loves me for me xtra pounds or not!!!
I find it easier to loose weight when I'm not obsessing about it otherwise it's the same for me, the harder I try the worse it gets!
    Goodluck with the challenge x:T
