I love fresh flowers and always bought them before I became a MSE now I only buy them if they are reduced. I was that person that was taken in by advertisers and supermarkets and would buy the latest must have product....not any more! I am money saving Mhagster, I sound like a super hero!! lol
This may sound totally wierd, but it works, a tip from a florist on tv, when you put the water in the vase add a little squirt of bleach, (yes bleach), really extends their life.
B4 xmas we got some flowers only coz reduced, 49p bunch, and with the wate + bleach trick they lasted 6weeks! xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Don't make me meet you somewhere so we can compare with a tape measure
SPD is the link FP posted. It goes away in 99.8% of women within 2 weeks after birth.. I had to be the .2 LOL My pelvis is seperated permanentely now and I can't get it back together so it is really painful. When I spend a long time on my feet I can hear it crunch together and if I have a washing up marathon I get this weird thing like someone is pulling me down to the floor and I have to sit quickly. Fun and games!!
Where and when are we meeting :j
Have a lovely night off, and enjoy yourself. See you tomorrow xxRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
mhagster - I love flowers but hardly get them anymore - I always think is it a want or a need (thanks to mse) but if I really wanted them I would get them. I tend to cut on the groceries if wanting a takeaway at the end of the week. I meal pan so I have so much less waste and I spend less cos I stick to my list.
That's right about the bleach mum2one and someone once told me soluble aspirin works as well if you pop one in.
mrsgibbs - your hubby sounds lovely.
sylphraven good idea about freezing cakes - never thought about that.
We are thinking peter pan theme for dd's birthday in may so was thinking of buying a cheap cake covering it in chocolate butter icing so it looks like a big rock and place peter pan and hook on it with the other figures around it. DD has the figures - they look like cake decorations as well - so just going to use them.
Rusty - my brother and sis in law live in cramlington so we are sometimes over that side of the water.
Do you do monthly shops rusty - I have started doing a monthly meal shop and then just doing top ups - but I hate doing the first big shop cos it costs so much but I think it works out cheaper in the long run.
Enjoy your night plm, thanks for advice re templates will try that now I know how to do it - will try the flowers too.
Off to see another 2 houses this afternoon. Seen one I liked this morning, strangely it was the one that needed most work. Was a really nice area, but would be a total gut job! Hubby said he would live in it with dog while he gutted it and me and dd can live with my dad for a couple of weeks (WOOHOO)!!! Would love to live at home for a couple of weeks - I love my dads house - it's so comfy and lovely.
Anyway got three surveys to do before I go so must get on with them.0 -

Ah welcome to my world! Not sure I realised what a huge job we were taking on. Co-ordinating everything to happen at the right time is quite hard work! I can't even THINK about fun stuff like 'what colour paint do i want' as I'm too busy thinking about fuse boxes and plug sockets! :rotfl:Great fun though, exciting time for you Scatty!

Oooh I like Cramlington, so many more shops than Blyth ... and they have a home bargainsthat is normally my local home bargains
We used to do weekly shops but was costing as much as what a monthly shop would! .... OH didn't used to bother looking at the prices he would just fill the trolley, then when I moved in we had to lots of food, stuff from his cupboards and freezer then also mine ... so we just topped up as and when needed then I used to go weekly just for top ups. However I made my first proper meal plan a few weeks ago, we are on our last week now and so have done a shopping list in the my supermarket and this shop will cost approx £188 but to be fair it should be cheaper when I actually get there as I will buy cheaper things which I couldn't find on the list! .... Makes the weekly shop approx £47 for the 4 of us which I don't think is too bad ... specially when we need things like toilet rolls which I haven't bought for 5 months :rotfl:
Good luck with the viewingsWe will have to arrange a meet up for a coffee, Bunbun and I meet up and plan to do it again so we should figure out who is up this end and go for a coffee

I have worked out it must be nearly 30 years since my letter was rejected........I would have been about 9 or 10 so anyone born in the last 3 decades and certainly in the last 2 won't have a clue!
The bunty was a weekly comic with stories and picture stories and a letters page I never featured in.............I am nearly 40 (aaargh 4 weeks) and still haven't quite got over it!
No wonder it went out of publication when they couldn't even recognise talent!!
Mhagster, I am 40 in May  so same 'era' I got the bunty every Friday when i was about 9 for years! I loved it - didn't it have 'the 4 marys' in it!..
Hope everyone is ok today, will catch up properly with all the posts later, otherwise I will never know what a Quickkutz Squeeze is :rotfl: .Hope all the kiddliwinks are on the mend..

Hi all!!
How are you all doing this grey weekend?? I'm having a quiet Saturday at home and stayed in bed until late this morning as certain people kept me up too late chatting last night!!!
I am still working my way through the recodings of QVC lots of fab stuff but I hate the P & P costs tho I have now seen Choccy's papers and they are lovely!
I also found another £27 woth of tesco clubcard vouchers so that was good!!
Haven't made all the cards I need for this week v bad!! Must try and do that this afternoon tho will be too late for neice on Monday and too late for 2 yr old bday today!! Never mind!!
I'm tempted by a quickutz thingy and also v tempted re basic grey stuff but have had a bad experience with artymiss so I don't like to use them and haven't since my bad experience!! I'm gonna wait and see if I can have a play of a cuttlebug sometime as I fancy one of those and think they are probably more versitile. Also want to wait 'til the NEC for all the bargains there!!!
Hope PLM has had a fab night!!
Good luck with the househunting Scattymum!
