Furry - dont want to upset you but we have had a lovely summers day down here in Kent, might be the only perks we get for living so far down south lol, Haven't done much today, popped up town to get daughter another pair of school shoes, last ones only lasted a month, did a bit of knitting and dreaded house work. Probs the same for tomorrow only we have rain forecast so wont be going out.0

Oooh i've just been looking at the website for the hobbycrafts thing at the NEC...I might go...it's my birthday on the 11th March so it could be a little birthday present to myself? Some of you are going aren't you? Could I meet you if you are because I don't have anybody that would come with me. I'm really nice honest
I'm grumpy today. Hate weekends, how stupid is that?? My OH usually plays football on a Saturday & twice on a Sunday so I sometimes meet my dad, usually I just stay in and sit on the laptop (like every other day) so I always tend to get a bit down at the weekend (don't really have any friends to meet, they all have kids and are always busy)
Sometimes though the football is cancelled and I always (stupidly) get quite excited about having a full day with the OH. I'd planned for us to finish the painting in the living room, then sort out downstairs and then just chill out, and he said he was happy for us to do this. But of course his brother has invited himself round, like he does every weekend. So I am sat upstairs on my laptop while they are playing on the ps3 downstairs. I can't do the painting because they are using the telly and I need to move it plus I can't actually reach the top bits. I can't go and sit downstairs because there is that much junk on the other sofa. The thing what annoys me is my OH says it doesn't want his brother round here all day yet he wont actually tell him, god forbid he ever upset his brother. Doesn't matter about me, as long as he doesn't upset his brother
Is it just me or is it rude to invite yourself round to somebodys house every weekend and stay all day? (as in he got he just after 12 and wont go home til about 11 tonight, sometimes later)
I wanted to go to WH Smith and get a crafty magazine so I could try and do some of the things out of there but no he didn't want to go to WH Smith, he just wanted to come home so because I didn't want an arguement, I just said fine i'll get one tomorrow.
And he wonders why I am in a mood.
Do I sound like a miserable little drama queen? I don't mean to. I just feel like I should come first at weekends (after football, I don't mind him playing that) and I never, ever do.
Going to try and get my website sorted, take my mind off how annoyed I am.
Sorry for the rant:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

boo men Hayley
no it is not unreasonable for you to want time with your OH. I would sit him down and say "Look MrHayley, I need time with you as well, so bloody well schedule me some free time and take me out" (even just the pub for lunch - but anywhere the brother can't find you). I wish Xbox's and PS3s and football had never been invented. However, then I'd be moaning about OH getting under my feet at home no doubt ! lol!

Come to the NEC :T:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
lol okay I shall come....who else is going? Just out of curiosity? What time does it start? It's not a 9 oclock job is it? :rotfl:
I know I wish they hadn't either Jammy but then I also would be wishing he'd get from under the feet!! For some reason I can't get much done when he's here, that's why I try to do all the cleaning while he's at work and I would happily do the painting myself but i'm 5ft nothing and we have really high walls :rotfl:
Well I have decided I am getting my shoes and coat on and I am going to Sainsburys. Sod him. I don't know what i'm getting, I might look for a magazine there. He will probably feel obliged to come with me because it's getting dark so ha he'll have to leave his stupid brother here. Or let me go myself and then feel guilty because he doesn't like me walking around in the dark by myself (I can't see very well in the dark) I'll get a taxi home if it's too dark thoughI might not even tell him where i'm going....I know this sounds like a really lame way to annoy him but it will
One day I will think about growing up but until that day, I will enjoy being childish :j :rotfl::heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

I've had a good day today - didn't start well with DS2 waking me up at 6am telling me to get up . Went to craft warehouse and picked up my new Quickutz Squeeze tool (and a couple of little necessities
). Then went into town and got DS1's haircut and then to Pizza Hut where we all ate like pigs and had a great time :T
We ate so much earlier I'm not bothering with cooking tea so no cooking for me today, yay :j
Looking forward to the boys going to bed so I can get squeezing my QuickutzIt came with a set of alphabet dies and I've bought 3 cheapie dies from a craft website and 3 more from ebay since being home. So excited :j :j :j
Had a lovely evening yesterday with the girls coming round. We ate loads of Chinese food and talked lots. One of my friend's has offered to have the boys over after school on Monday to play and for tea so I can have a couple of hours to myself. Oh how I love her
OH has booked his flights back, will be home on Thursday.
Hope everyone's ok. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Hayley, we used to 'suffer' OH's brother coming round all the time - especially Friday and Saturday evenings. He would expect to be fed and watered and not lift a finger. Since we had DS1 the visits got less frequent, thank goodness. Hope you find a great magazine and I'm with Jammy, make sure you get some chocolate too
Edit: meant to say, OH did have a word with his brother after DS1 was born to say could he scale down the visits, it worked! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
