Can I chip in about the weight thing? I'd love to be smaller than I am but love food too much and don't have the motiviation to get rid of the fat so I'm learning to like myself as I am
Enjoy your night out PLM :j :j :j
Rusty, that box is beautiful, I wanted to have a go but thought the instructions sounds difficult so didn't but your box is so lovely I'm going to have to have a go
I remember Bunty
Anyone here like Basic Grey... http://artymiss.co.uk/acatalog/Card_Making_Supplies_and_Craft_Supplies_Basic_Grey.html
I haven't ordered anything...yet...as going to buy a QuicKutz Squeeze today, very excited as it's £19.99 and comes with a set of alpha dies :j
Hope everyone has a great weekend, I am going to try and get myself organised for DS1's birthday party - in 3 weeks - need to write some to do lists and start getting stuff crossed off. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I'm from south shields rusty but living in Jarrow at the moment - desperately trying to get back to shields.
Gonna do some house hunting today - have 4 to see - my fave one out the lot had just reduced the price the other day and already has been snapped up - we can still view it but can't offer on it - hoping it's horrible!! or I'll be miffed.
So not money saving last night at all- hubby spoilt me and the bairn but that's what martin says it's not about cutting back it's about cutting bills. I remember seeing an interview that he did where they confronted him with the posh hotel he was staying in and why he didn't pick the cheap budget hotel chain instead and he explained because he manages his finances well, he doesn't have debt, and because he saves money in so many other areas HE can afford to spend money on those kinds of things instead and live his life and live it to the full. Which is what everyone wants right.
After last nights spending though need to buckle in and not get carried away cos things will start getting tight now as the 15% wage deduction starts this week for husband. Going to do a budget review and see how we're doing. Husband spoke to a guy in the bt shop about switching phonbes to save on landline and broadband - he's getting so MSE.
Enjoy your weekends everyone.
Ooh I love martin - when are they gonna give him an MBE or something!!0 -
Scattymam I agree with you. I have seriously cut back on my shopping bill, I go to tesco ,which is my local shop, on a Sunday at 4pm, they close at 6pm ,and get so much stuff that is reduced. I am not throwing out food like I was before, I don't buy stuff and then don't use it which I was before. So the other night we had a take away for tea which was £17 for a meal for 2 which does the 4 of us with a curry left over to do another night. But by cutting down in other areas I can afford the odd takeaway.........actually grumpy son paid as I had no cash on me but he will be repaid today!
I love fresh flowers and always bought them before I became a MSE now I only buy them if they are reduced. I was that person that was taken in by advertisers and supermarkets and would buy the latest must have product....not any more! I am money saving Mhagster, I sound like a super hero!! lol
Enjoy your weekend.....I'm about to commence the 'start the birthday celebrations 3 days early swim/skate/cinema extravaganza'0 -
Morning all
I shouldnt have followed that link RainmacI ended up looking at the sale stuff & discovered the making memories sheer frames, I think they're beautiful, hope to see them at a nice price at the nec, if not I'll just have to look for them another time.
I love Asda "Whoops" stuff. Before I get my shopping I always look round for the yellow stickers & pick up anything I think I need or can freeze then use.
This week was a good week. Off my shopping list I managed to get a reduced shoulder of lamb, mince meat, cucumber, tomatoes, cat food & washing tablets. I also picked up an In the night garden birthday cake to freeze for DS2s b'day (have frozen their decorated cakes before & as long as all packaging is removed for it to defrost in the open air then theres no problems), a joint of rolled lamb breast, joint of pork stuffed with mushroom, lemon scotch pancakes with raisins, & croissants, all I can freeze & use for meals.
I've picked up an Asda christmas collection card (or whatever they are called, lol) this week & am planning to put on at least £20 a month on it. When it reaches £144 I will pick up another card. Thinking of using it to get my food shopping in november/December (depending when the bonus day is), & Christmas food treats/deals (e.g, tins choccys)
Sounds like your going to have a great day mhagsterYou cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -

Rainmac, I just cut out the box, When I printed it though I cheated and used the one which had all the markings on, instead of the plain one like it tells you to use
I am very tempted by the basic grey offerRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Hello everybody
Well today is the day I drive to Telford and drop the kiddos off. Have got to go see my sister and then come back with Lee to put the kids to bed as I love to kiss them goodnight. Then it's a long drive all the way back to Tipton (Or Tippytop as Sylph calls it) to get ready with my multicoloured 'is it brown is it black' hair. STILL haven't sewn up my corset... (It was a bargain for 3 pounds.. little did I realise there was NO zipper!!)
When everyone talks about being so MSE it really inspires me to be moneysaving. I appreciate hearing all of your little bargains and tips. My Asda is one of the biggest in the UK and they have NOTHING reduced. I always buy organic and free range meat/veg/eggs so it costs me a fortune. My kids are really fussy eaters so I like to get every bit of natural goodness down them that I can and also I feel really bad if I buy a battery chicken. I kinda feel like I am adopting a chicken when I buy an organic. So.. not very MSE here sometimes:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Ruthy DID YOU ENJOY YOUR CAKE lol!! Sorry caps hahahaha:rotfl: I am trying to think positive and be positive. I have got in such a negative mind set for so long it is hard to kick myself out. *boots self up backside* Hope you have a lovely time and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR PIG!! Well done from refraining from the paper purchasing.. I hate it when I go.. I always feel like I miss out on all the fun haha
Rusty I can tell you I will win the weight war right now lady.. also.. you look tall. I am a pathetic 5'5Don't make me meet you somewhere so we can compare with a tape measure
SPD is the link FP posted. It goes away in 99.8% of women within 2 weeks after birth.. I had to be the .2 LOL My pelvis is seperated permanentely now and I can't get it back together so it is really painful. When I spend a long time on my feet I can hear it crunch together and if I have a washing up marathon I get this weird thing like someone is pulling me down to the floor and I have to sit quickly. Fun and games!!
Chocolate Orange You are a bad girl.. how dare you not be here every single secondI hope you love your papers and put them to good use.. all 200 of 'em
JS I can't WAIT to see my journalling supriseI bet it is so beautiful!! You can post a pic if you like and name the post ' DON"T LOOK MEL' and i'll scroll very quickly past it :T
Scattymam To blow them up to a bigger size you need to scan them into your pc and enlarge the printout by the percentage it tells you. HTH. Give the flowers a go.. SOO easy to do and I think they look really pretty.
Jammy Thank you so much for your lovely think of the day by J J JAMMY!!:rotfl: I am glad you love yourself for who you are.. I am working on it..:o
ARGH Lee has just shouted me to get downstairs because he is getting the kids in the car.. I'm still in my nightie!!!
Love to all and see you tomorrow xxx:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Hi :hello:
I'm still in bed...hehe...just waiting for my OH to get back from the bookies with my breakfast (from the butty shop, not the bookies lol)
I've just been looking on that arty miss website and I want to buy loads of stuff! I have to stop myself though, whenever I buy crafty stuff, I start trying to make things and then because they always turn out rubbish I give up and then stuff just gets stuck in a box. I must inspect my crafty box actually and see what's in there. My niece always plays with it all when she comes to stay, least somebody uses it! :rotfl:
I really, really want to try and make one of those exploding boxes. I'm going to read the instructions properly (I just looked at the pretty pictures last time :rotfl:) then i'm going to see how much it costs to buy everything i'll need.
I had a really good day yesterday, I cleaned/tidied the whole upstairs, took me about 4 hours  I love having a tidy bedroom thoughI also sorted all my paperwork into piles and we're popping into town later to buy a new filing cabinet thingy.
Today the OH is finishing painting the living room and I am going to finish sorting the paperwork out and then tidy/clean the kitchen. Really looking forward to the house being straight again, it's been a tip for weeks. It wont last though, I give it a week and it'll be back to "normal" :rotfl:
Mel - that SPD sounds horribleI suffer really badly from sciatica, it's so painful, i've got a hospital appointment on Monday to see if they can help because it's been really, really bad for about 5 months now
Well my sandwich is here so i'm going to go and make a brewHave a nice day ladies
 Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies
