    Remember it's pancake day tomorrow!
  • they're my fave food.. i would never forget!! Im going to go make some in a minute lol im too weak to resist any longer
    :xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:
  • I remembered the syrup & lemon, but have run out of eggs, lol. good job I'd already planned to go shopping 2moz :)
Aurora, even though LO had a 15 min nap this afternoon he fell asleep at 8 this evening. This is FAB, any nap in the day normally means he's up until 10ish.

Oh PLM, that is soooooooo nice for you - My DS1 would say his DS.
You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground
  • Thanks Jamtart for the idea - my son loves to make anything but some of his friends dont think its quite so cool! I have some ideas now and some places I can go to so thats a start! I am thinking of making them all flannel cakes (I also go lurking on that thread too!) with some minature smellies and a bag of sweets wrapped up - thanks to another great idea - not sure how this will look yet but at least I feel I am getting somewhere without having to spend too much and not feel that I am competing with some of the mums, who spend a fortune on the party favours.

Also thanks mun2one - I live in North Wales so dont know the shops you mentioned but I have already bought some clear cello bags and some great ribbon - just need to sort my head out now - I would love to be crafty but need simple!

Thanks again to everyone - also big hugs sounds like some of you need them x

  • HI all, hope everyone is ok tonight....I spent more money on craft stuf today (stuck at home as car in the garage having its MOT) Ideal world, hope to actually start making stuff sometime soon :o

PLM i voted for you, I think your stuff is fab, I loved your card from the last challenge...is it right that only 1 person goes out in each round anyway,so you are totally not going out then  Also I love the name Logan, really cute and cool at the same time...

Aurora love you angel helper..she is soo cute

Can't wait for pancakes tomorrow, yum...I just love them plain with lemon and sugar - takes me right back ...

Bunbun2 Glad your ds is on the mend, these things are so worrying when we aren't in control aren't they x

Furrypig, bet it already feels like you have never been away!!! looked like you had a terrific time, I am soooo jelous as it really is somewher I long to visit and would love to take my kids there..

Hi Gang! How are we tonight? I am not being thrifty or gifty but I feel a bit more organised this week - a LOT less teaching than the last 4 weeks so a small piece of calm before the storm :)

I WANTS PANCAKES! Sadly - I won't be getting any! Mum hates the faff of it when she feels 100% well, so not a chance tomorrow. Boo! Enjoy yours, and have an extra special one with lemon and sugar on for me. I will be making pancakes the first weekend I move into our house as a super treat :)

no problems snickers - I didn't think it would go down too well, but was the first thing that popped into my head :) I loves North Wales - so does my tent (when it isn't raining and gale force 17!!) There is a big hobbycraft on the Greyhound retail park in Chester :)

ETA: My lovely friend Hayley11 from many other chatty threads may be coming to join us here so a bit Thrifty Gifty girl welcome if she does arrive :D:hello::grouphug:

Awww thanks jammy, you're so nice :D So here I am :hello: I will apologise now for all the waffling I do :o:p

So i'm going to try and be thrifty and gifty and have a neutral 2009 :D I am not very crafty, I do like doing it and I have quite a good craft box however everything I make turns out rubbish :rotfl: It's the thought that counts though eh? :rotfl:

I've signed up to bingo port, I saw it mentioned earlier on this thread (I did try to read the whole thing but good god you ladies like to chat! :rotfl:) And i'm going to start doing surveys again.

Last year I accumulated £35 in boots vouchers (from surveys) and was going to try and buy as many presents for this year as I could but then when the 75% off sale started, I was laid up in bed with bad back :o So I missed out. I did use some of the vouchers to get my friend a present for a baby shower though ;) Still got £15 left, going to get my mum something for her birthday with them.

Anyway, sorry for waffling on (I did warn you :rotfl:) I'm looking forward to getting to know you all :)
 Think happy & you'll be happy
    I :heart2: my doggies
