  • Jamtart6 I like the sound of that!
I stepped away from being "organised" due to developing OCD (where I would wash my hands in bleach regularly and needed everything to be 'in place')
Since meeting my new hubby I have regained my life and learnt life does not need to be "perfect".... in fact there is no such thing! ;)
The idea of just having a quick 15 min tidy is great, no obsessing for me but it will feel like I'll be on top of the little corner of clutter my hubby keeps to remind me it's ok!! (bless him) :o

I let it go too far before I tidy or clean and then it takes me days to sort things - 15 mins a day could help me keep on top of the clutter...I'm sooooo lazy though! nah, not lazy just hate housework
  • Well Done Scattymam, do you want to come and clear my house LOL.

Hope all goes well with the viewing

  • Well done Scattyman - I'm impressed.

Jamtart - sounds like a plan, although I am usually "pretty good" with de-cluttering, as we only have a 1-bedroom flat, you kind of have to keep on top of things, but there are definitely some drawers that I haven't dared go into in a while.

Scattymam's post has inspired me. Anyone up for a 15-minute weekly de-clutter and organise?? I often find myself saying "I haven't got time" so piles of paper get left on my desk for weeks on end. I always think "tidy home, tidy mind" However, I think 15minutes could easily be fitted in a week to everyones hectic schedules and I bet it is amazing what could be done in 15 minutes! Who is with me?! Even if you just sort one drawer out in 15 minutes, you never know what goodies you might find in it...and then it would be tidy too! My makeup drawer ALWAYS needs tidying and I never get around to it!! I

know how much you lot like challenges, and I feel this could be a good way forward for the thrifty gifty girls who pride themselves on being super organised (ahem!) for every occasion!

Sounds like a great Idea, I always say the same Jammy, Not got time for that... 15mins sounds good

    Count me in

Hope your mums feeling better today Hun.

  • Great job scattymam, looks great!...my 3 have all had chicken pox, my ds had them when he was 4 he got around 5 spots and was absolutely fine in himself, but I had to keep him off school for a week (I remember him driving me mad as he didn't even seem ill!)

Jamtart - I am up for the tidying 15mins, although I don't have much crafting stuff yet, so will use it to declutter other areas...

JordanShannon - hope you are feeling better...

I would say that it would be good if we could all do our 15min organise/tidy on the same day but I'm not sure that thats best for everyone. I do think it would be more motivational though. I wouldnt want to be left behind if you lot had all done your tidying, it would gee me up!! I propose a Tuesday (I'm in the mood!)

Mrsgibbs - well done to you for getting better with your OCD. Must be awful. Don't feel like you have to join in if you can't. You can be our over-seer if that suits you better :)

ETA: Mum is slightly better thanks for asking :)

    Hi :hello:

Thanks to everybody for such a lovely, warm welcome, I can see i'm going to like it here :D

Hmmm pancake day today :j Can't wait to have loads of them later :D

Jamtart - I think your 15 minute a day is a fab idea, I hate cleaning and tidying so much, my house is always such a state :o I might try and have a big clean/declutter/tidy this week because 15 minutes a day wouldn't touch this pig sty :rotfl:ETA - just realised you said 15 minutes a week - yeah that wouldn't touch my house :rotfl: But I might dedicate those 15 minute to sort out my paperwork, i've got piles of it everywhere, I could keep on top of that with 15 minutes a week :)

Sarah - i'm quite close to Oldham, probably closer to Oldham than Manchester actually, just near the big ugly Ikea in Ashton :)

Well I must dry my hair and go and meet my OH in town...have a good afternoon ladies :D
 Think happy & you'll be happy
    I :heart2: my doggies
