Hi everyone, I love the idea of 15 mins tidying too :T

I had a clear out of some of my craft stash yesterday and now everything in the cupboard under my stairs is in boxes relevant to what the item is :j :j :j. Anything I didn't like I have either chucked; put in a pile ready to list on ebay or another pile for my craft loving aunt.

I spent over 2 hours at the hospital yesterday afternoon for DS2's fracture clinc appointment. The waiting area was a corridor with chairs in it. It was hell with the 2 kids as they were so bored - as was I. The doctor spent 10 seconds looking at Thomas and said he seemed fine and no need to go back again. What a waste of time

Made 6 cards last night for Marie Currie Cancer Care, just need to post them off.

Haven't done any housework today at all and really should have done :o Going to go for it tomorrow I think ;)

Off to a friend's for coffee in a while before school pick up.

Sounds like positive news with OH's job Rusty. Got my fingers crossed. How are you now feeling about him working that far away? Be honest, we're all mates here ;)

My OH comes home Monday next week - only 6 more sleeps as I told my boys :j

Hugs to anyone feeling poorly or sad x

Jamtart6 I like the sound of that!
I stepped away from being "organised" due to developing OCD (where I would wash my hands in bleach regularly and needed everything to be 'in place')
Since meeting my new hubby I have regained my life and learnt life does not need to be "perfect".... in fact there is no such thing! ;)
The idea of just having a quick 15 min tidy is great, no obsessing for me but it will feel like I'll be on top of the little corner of clutter my hubby keeps to remind me it's ok!! (bless him) :o

Hi Mrsgibbs, you've hit the nail on the head - life doesn't need to be perfect as there is no such thing. Took me a while to realise this too... ;)

Scattymam's post has inspired me. Anyone up for a 15-minute weekly de-clutter and organise?? I often find myself saying "I haven't got time" so piles of paper get left on my desk for weeks on end. I always think "tidy home, tidy mind" However, I think 15minutes could easily be fitted in a week to everyones hectic schedules and I bet it is amazing what could be done in 15 minutes! Who is with me?! Even if you just sort one drawer out in 15 minutes, you never know what goodies you might find in it...and then it would be tidy too! My makeup drawer ALWAYS needs tidying and I never get around to it!! I

know how much you lot like challenges, and I feel this could be a good way forward for the thrifty gifty girls who pride themselves on being super organised (ahem!) for every occasion!

add me in for the 15 min tidy u, my bedroom looks a cross between a bombsite, student bedsit and a gift shop store room! x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Sarah - i'm quite close to Oldham, probably closer to Oldham than Manchester actually, just near the big ugly Ikea in Ashton :)

    :D

I'm only up the road from there too 10 mins on the Bus, nearer to oldham than Ashton though, and your right it is a bit of an eye sore LOL, unfortunatley it doesn't put me off going in LOL:rotfl:

Have a nice time in Town with your OH

  • Rainmac - I'm sorry you have MS but I think you have a really positive attitude which is brilliant. Hope you had a good weekend . I'm glad your son is better and you're surviving without OH.

Scattymam - well done on your MSE days. Is IPSOS another survey site - I'm on the lookout for more ways of getting a bit of extra cash. Well done with your tidying and good luck with the viewing.

Rusty - that video was brilliant. I haven't got kids but can hear friends in it. A shunt in kids goes from the brain to the abdomen to drain the fluiid away and stop the pressure building up too high so I guess its similar in an adult.Slicing the optic nerve sounds fairly drastic - would it affect your sight ?
Glad your OHs interview seemed to go ok.

aurora - do you know theres a cross stitch thread ?. I haven't been there recently as I haven't done any stitching :o

Goochie - sorry to hear about your friend Glad you're feeling a bit better now.

Furrypig - welcome back to the uk. I presume you're a nurse in 'real life ?' . If so it'll probably be 'holiday, have I had a holiday ?' by now :rotfl: Hope all the family are now on the mend.

bunbun2 - hope your sons knee is better

    snickers0607 and hayley11 hello :hello:

hayley11 and Sarah :wave:from south manchester ( I used to work in Ashton though so I know it well)

Jamtart - I'm with you for a 15 min tidy it might help stop my craft stuff taking over the whole of the dining room:T . Glad your mum is a bit better today.

Jordanshannon - sorry you're feeling ill too, hope you feel better soon
  • Thank you for the well wishes girls.
Sorry more chat about the NEC but..
I can't book any tickets yet as i need to know when everyone else will be there?
    ..xx

PS Jammy- i emptied my inbox :D
    ..xx
I am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A
