I have booked my sons football party and am trying to get some inspiration for party bags - I though of giving them all a football mug filled with sweets but cant find them cheap enough - so far he has invited 35 of the little angels!
Anyone any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Me again, brain working overtime, dont know if you have a Matlan near you, our has got a good range of party items, also dont know what part of the country ur from, but if you have friends down South West, theres a chain called Bastins and the other one I love Bitz, they do party stuff dead cheap, I got boys party bags 45p for 10.

what a mental hour! Just had to take Mum to A&E as she is feeling very very unwell (most unusual). NHS direct were as much use as a chocolate teapot and the oncall doctor just said to go to A&E. So I'm now back manning the phone in case the hospital call about Grandad. Nightmare!! Have absolutely no idea whats up with Mum, but she never makes any sort of fuss, so one is thinking she is feeling really awful
wasnt sure whether I should stay with her, but Dad is there and I hate it when families clog up A&E so he's been instructed to ring me if anything happens (hosp is about 5min drive!) Could be a long night girls!

PS - WHERE YOU SEE A RANDOM J it is supposed to be a smiley
but MS Word alters them into a J!
Mum2one – how is the little hoodie? Has her poorliness calmed down now? Hilarious about the pork scratching!! Very odd about the radio, hate things like that!!
Hello to everyone else J
Little Hoodie a lot better, got rid of most of the spots, give u all a laugh, shes taken the pork scratching upstairs and put the bag in her bedside draw, as dad has one of his bedside draws as a store cupboard she wants to do the same......... thou his supply is now disappearing, her new trick is liquirose allsorts, she eats the sweet bit then puts the liquoirse back!
Decided not to be a pig 2ngt, so no midngt snacks, spoke to mum and dad, and they both say the radio was off........v freaky, but I dreamed last night about dolphins that I was swimming with them and they were jumping over my head. But the pool and my lifejck looked liked the one I wore in Mexico, v weird.
Quiet day, dd went down to her friends to paly and 4 tea, they went down to the climbing frames, so she was happy, but couldnt get her to bed 2ngt, Danceing on Ice, so as she doesnt go back to school until tues she stayed up to 10pm, helping me look through Argos leaflets, gd at Bargain spotting, her next I want is a wii.
Maybe xmas.......... xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Oh no, hope mum goes on ok, theres usually a long wait in a+e, bless ur dad telling you to go home, I know its not easy but you try and get some rest, u take care. If theres anything I can do, just shout. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
ah bless, thank you!! I said I felt left out as my whole family (all 3 of them!) are in that one hospital and I'm home alone!
I am sure she will be OK, I am not unduly worrying but it is just a bit nuts. The doctor said "call an ambulance" but she said "I'm bloody not, you can take me" (to me!) so she's toddled off dressed in her nighty dressing gown and my old red socks to keep warm, she said she looked like a tramp but didn't care cos she felt too ill! Hopefully all the drunks have gone home from a+e, last time I went late at night, a very hammered man had his foot hanging off!
edit to add: mum is back home. they have no idea what is up with her so have labelled it a "virus" - if in doubt, call it a "virus"! glad she is back though

Glad your mum is home Jamtart, must have been very scary.
Furrypig - great that your all home safe, just need to get rid of that bug now! Hope your son was ok for school. Can't wait for you to sort your new crafty stuff and start getting creative! I;m going to attack my crafting stuff in my understairs cupboard as it is out of control and I can't find anything. Was going to clean the oven today - yuck! But decided to sort of crafting stuff instead, much more important
Anyone who has crafting stuff they don't want/like/need, how about selling it on ebay? I've sold part used sticker sheets, part packs of papers etc and they have all generally sold which frees up space (for new stuff...:o) and makes a little bit of £ (to spend on new stuff).
Have a good day everyone:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Jamtart - sorry to hear about your mum, but glad she is home. There are some nasty viruses about, I hope she feels better soon. It's so stressful when something like that happens though - why do these things seem to come in waves, so that you feel like you're being pulled in so many different directions? Thinking of you.
I managed to contact the rest of the team that my friend and I worked with years ago, and they are all very shocked and saddened by her death, all have asked me to keep them updated with funeral arrangements and have suggested that we all get together for a drink and a catch up to remember her, which will be nice, if sad. They have also said that we should go to the funeral together as well, if we can (none of them live in London). It was so nice to hear from them all but so sad under the circumstances.
Hello to everyone. x0
